Re: Headlight Ribbon DRL Activation Kit

Hi There. We were just saying today that instructions would have saved a ton of time and homework. We have it all worked out now and they look great !!! Please feel free to PM me and I'll give you my number and talk you through it. Hopefully it will eliminate the learning curve that we suffered today. The first on took hours. The second one, one we worked it out took minutes..... Happy to help. I am based in Caringbah, Sydney NSW.

Headlight Ribbon DRL Activation Kit

Dam it well just spoke to Felixx on the phone he wired up two 2014 SRT8 today and he confirms I am def missing different wires than other Aussie cars only thing I can think off is my bloody build date that's causing this problem , so my next approach will be to see me mate who's a bloody good sparky to see what he can come up with over the weekend

Fellas, I'm glad some of you got the harness installed properly. The instructions have been listed in the first post of this thread since day 1.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...p=docslist_api

I have found that around the March 2014 build date jeep had changed the wiring going to each headlight. When you order I have included the instructions so that you can check the wiring of your vehicle. Please check your wiring before making the payment!

You should make sure you are going into the correct drivers side DRL wire. Going into the parking light wire will make the ribbon come on dimly lit.

If he's any good he will quickly find the right wire just using a test light.

All the wire colors and pin locations are in the instructions. They simply are not present on the recent builds...

You may be able to add your own wire into the factory harness though....

Re: Headlight Ribbon DRL Activation Kit

You guys should really use PIN LOCATION, instead of color. Just my 2 cents.

Yep. I used the pin position when I did mine. Mostly because it was hard to see in there and I didn't feel like getting my floor lamps out and set up.

I'm pretty sure the instructions also mention pin position. EDIT: I just re-read my instructions and it DOES say "Harness Position" for each colour

For anyone in Sydney that want a hand to fit this kit i'm happy to help. Only takes 10-15mins to fit it.

JB, use a torch mate lol
