New challenge for CLSTech
In Australia our DLR turn off when we turn on our headlights. Can you rig something up that will keep our DRL's on at night with our headlights?

Are you referring to the bumper led strips? If so I think they are run by a canbus signal so activating them would have to be done by programming.

Re: Headlight Ribbon DRL Activation Kit

Be careful if your car was built after march the CLStech kit won't work , my mate and I tried to do it and really did some damage , and he's a good sparky he's rewired plenty of cars also I had taken my car to a auto electrician and they refused to touch my car , now I have problems like you wouldn't believe ... My 2 cents worth

Sorry you are having problems with getting the headlight ribbons activated. Just want to be clear that the possible damage was not from this harness or the provided instructions.

The information above about build date vis correct as stated several times before. Please check to see if you have the needed wires before payment. I have also asked this when providing the payment information.

I think you need to explain what you and your "mate" did to cause damage and problems. The CLS kit in itself can NOT cause any damage. Even if you tapped the wrong wires all it would do is make the various lights work (or not) in a different way. If he is a "good sparky" as you say, all he had to do was find the Ribbon light trigger wire & the headlight trigger wire and tap into them. Not hard to figure out if you know what your doing, as he should.

Well we only used the CLStech kit nothing else and printed out the whole wiring diagram as well used just a test light while doing this and only tapped into the drivers side to start off with using the wiring diagram and the pin position but where you guys have certain wires I was missing but still me mate followed the diagram , cut a long story short we only posi tap 2 wires on the drivers side didn't even attempt the passengers side because I was missing certain wire all together . So we put it back together and now ever time I start the car I get this message " Service Adaptive Headlamp System" , so and then I did a soft restart inside the car ,still came back then a engineers hard restart came back then pulled battery off and left it overnight still came back , so drove home 800klms my Uconnect froze up and couldn't play music or use my phone , rang the dealer ship yesterday they plugged in there computer I sat there and watched him and he couldn't clear the codes so he then told me the headlight level system in the rear of the car was broken and he would order me a new one in , also now my headlights don't turn when going around a corner ?? But I don't blame anyone I new the risks and before we even attempted attaching the posi tap connectors my mate read the post on this forum and looked at the wiring diagrams many many times to make sure . Like I said my mates a dam good sparky has completely rewired many cars from the ground up for himself and other people and after all we only connected 2 wires according to the wiring diagram and it's only 12v . Oh well I just hope it gets fixed now they have ordered the parts , also my stereo and Uconnect work now thank god . I did right down the position numbers where we tapped into but I have to find them tomorrow I'm laying in bed now to bloody cold to get up ....

Thank you for the explanation. Looking forward to seeing what pin positions you tapped into.
