iPad @ JeepGarage

Should have used less pressure 2nd time around , a Brisbane based jeep recycler has a motor etc for sale on eBay, I think his id is jeeepart_recyclers

Connell, if you are referring to the pin as indicated by arrow (this is the left hand side plug) then the colour is PINK with Yellow stripe on mine.

Nope I said right side of your pictures starting from the bottom third pin up. Looks like a white pin there. Remember your issue is that the wire is currently not populated. Should be a blank space.

Ok, so what I need to find is a square Molex female crimp pin and attach your cable, mount it in the plug so it connects to the male pin in back of the headlight.

That sounds correct. Please keep us posted... You will need to do this on the other side's plug as well. The position will be the same (position 3).

Can you explain the differences in rhd. What side of the vehicle is your fuse box if you are sitting in the car?

@chrisA @clstech
The fuse box side is our drivers side so that's where the 3 and 6 goes

I'm having a crack on the weekend. Should be ok I guess

Re: Headlight Ribbon DRL Activation Kit

Hey Guys:

To be able to activate the DRL ribbons on cars with the deleted pin contact it is simple.

1. You would have to remove the white face of the 16 pin headlight connector.

2. You would have remove the #3 filler that are placed in each headlight connector.

3. You would have to install a 18 awg wire with the proper female metal contact.

Adding the correct female metal contact is just a little more involved.

This is still a straight forward mod.

So instead of tapping the #3 wire you would be adding the contact.

Whether the vehicle is LHD or RHD the pin location in the headlight pin locations are the same..

Additional info:

The right front headlight use all the of the pins while the left front headlight only uses 7 or 8 of the pin depending on the application.

Re: Headlight Ribbon DRL Activation Kit

UPDATE -- for some reason I can't deactivate my bumper LED DRL's

Can someone else from Oz try to disable their bumper LED's via the Uconnect system and report back?

Cheers..

Boz

Yes I am still interested as long as the steering wheel itself is not damaged. I would have them swap my airbag into it anyways! Thank you!
