Re: Help needed in Australia!

At the end of each day, write down you're preference. After a few weeks, tally up the results. Don't listen to anyone else, they're not paying for it (not your's anyway).

Re: Help needed in Australia!

I'm in a similar boat though, finding it difficult to settle on one colour. I think it helps when you order a car and it's locked in. Having lots of time to choose is the real issue here.

I'm pretty keen on the white, those DriveSRT videos really did a number on me, looked great there. Didn't like the colour of the show vehicle at all. Black was my original order and I'm still keen on it, but not the high maintenance factor. I'm very interested in seeing what the Redline looks like. If it's anything like the Ferrari SRT8 then a set of black gloss painted wheels will be the business.

Re: Help needed in Australia!

Yes, the more time it takes to finalize the deal, the more thoughts run through your mind. Wife says white, I'm still torn between white and granite grey, if only i could see a pic to make up my mind. The debut colour max steel does nothing for the car IMO, black is a bugger to keep clean and redline red would look pretty good with the right colour combos. Wish the drivesrt website had a colour change function that would give you an idea of what the beast may look like, it would help guys like us who are making pre orders not knowing what exactly what it looks like until we take delivery.
Cheers

Re: Help needed in Australia!

I think the new blackened grill throws me a bit with respect to the colours. It is pretty strange that they have no way for us to see these colours at the time of ordering.

Question Re: Help needed in Australia!

Hey, dealer rang today, said he was putting in my order and needed colour choice, which i did not think he could do until end of month when our order banks open, anyway he is telling me and is pretty sure of him self that none of the new colours apart from max steel is available for srt in oz, according to ordering system and mentioned a blue colour...........huh?????....WTF , i told him i wanted white, he said this is only available for the alpine, he also said we do not have any rim nor interior options????, who to believe, i don't think he knows anything about what he is selling and is making purchasing this beast frustrating.

Re: Help needed in Australia!

This contradicts what my dealer has told me. Jeep need better representation over here, the dealers are actually making them look very unorganized. You could possibly call Chrysler Australia and see what they say about it. This is a big deal, its a susbstancial investment you're making, I'd tread carefully. Maybe call another dealer and see what they say. Don't tell them you've signed elsewhere, just sound like someone that is shopping around for a deal.

Re: Help needed in Australia!

I have rung other dealers, seems the problem is wide spread, anyway, getting tired of all the contradicting info being dished out. I am seeking clarification further up the chain, will let you know, but may need to take offline.....

Many of us have been provided with different info from dealers around the country. Try putting some questions on Jeep Australia Facebook page and express your frustration, the local marketing people do monitor and respond..be polite and factual.. We are their consumers and best they listen and respond, not just be secretive about it

Re: Help needed in Australia!

Hey Robo,

You say that you have placed an order on a 2014, does that mean the order banks are really open here in oz?....
Cheers

Re: Help needed in Australia!

contract of sale is signed and deposit down, Im advised its on order to be built in March in Detroit and delivered in July. I trust the dealer in this instance but not so sure about further up the corporate line. I think dealers are in the same boat as many of us when it comes to specs, dates, prices etc, its HQ that hold all the cards and wont divulge..

We are all hoping Milous can tap into the Aust market info. He is sure there is a 4 model line up for Aust i.e. now a Summit being introduced as he has seen RHD versions, the dealers aren't so sure.
Forum uses have been advised various dates for local delivery ranging from April to July with July being the most consistent.
As for the mythical "order banks" there seems to be all sorts of random dates been thrown around in Jan, Feb, March.

IMO the dealers are just being "allocated" stock from HQ so they can keep selling once the '14s start shipping and the individual orders dont really exist as there are no E numbers ( same as US VONs ) being provided to anyone I know locally. If what you want lines up with allocated stock your in luck.. now again this is just my opinions from my fact gathering missions.
lets keep advising each-other as facts come to hand
