Help with obtaining a good deal on an SRT

Hi there,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I currently own a 2014 Summit V8 and I'm starting to get a strange feeling in my pants about upgrading to an SRT.
I've located a dealer with a couple of new 2015 SRT's on the lot. I've made an appointment tomorrow to visit and assess my trade and discuss numbers. They also have in their possession several 2016's and 2017's so I am hoping they might be willing to cut a good deal on the 2015's. I'm also looking at an SRT demo (unsure of year).
List price on both of the 2015's is $79,500ish CAD. What kind of deal do you think I might be able to swindle?
What kind of price reduction would one obtain when purchasing a demo model?

Additionally, for those who tow with their SRT's:
I frequently tow a 17 foot travel trailer in the summer months. I've been extremely happy with my experience with the 2014 Summit V8. It's made an all round tremendous tow vehicle and I don't want to sacrifice that experience upgrading to the SRT. Is there anything I need to be aware of in the possible transition to an SRT?

Cheers,
Brett

It's going to be hard to get a good deal on a truck that keeps its value as well as the SRT. People don't just stumble on an SRT and decide to buy it. They are targeted by educated buyers that know why they are spending so much for it. For this reason alone I can't see there being much wiggle room.

I agree with that, but why would there be unsold 2015's on the lot? Who would buy a 2015 when the 2017's are hitting the lot unless a good deal could be had?
Newer models bring with them added features, refreshed design and also don't have the famous shifter of death which has received so much negative press.

I dunno... Maybe I'm just delusional about the possibility of a deal on an SRT.

Because the truck keep its value they don't care if they sit for a little. You aren't going to hook a SRT buyer with crap bling, they want what's under the hood.

I'm sure you can get a good deal on a 15. I've seen them for as much as 10k under invoice

Re: Help with obtaining a good deal on an SRT

I ordered my '17 SRT on August 15, I picked it up on Sept. 13.

I paid 2% below invoice.

I have towed my racecar with my previous SRT (MY 2012) with no issues.

I would never buy a 2015 or even 2016 unless they gave me an unbelievable deal like 10-15% off invoice.

10k is almost 15% depending on msrp. I think that's what he is looking for. 2% is an ok deal not great though

Is that why this particular dealer has NEW 15's on their lot?

They will deal on the 15s. Don't let them make you think otherwise. They want them gone. Pick your number and either they hit or they don't. If they don't, walk out...
