I hope the red PVD is the chrome below the carbon fiber trim all around the dash and the doors that is not present in this Vapor model,if you have red PVD replacing the chrome beneath the carbon fiber this will be one sweet refine vehicle especially on the inside,I am thinking whenever I have the money, to get my SRT in Redline 2 instead of white, the red exterior, the red brembo brakes, the red and black seat, and to top it off red PVD all the way around beneath the carbon fiber trim, one classic unique vehicle, plus the 9 inch DVD screen.

Well every pic of red vapor I see does not have red on inside where would be chrome. I am hoping the same. I should have mine around Thanksgiving so we will see. Wondering if it says it will have red pvd and it comes without, can I be an a$$ and give Jeep a hard time about it??

Thanksgiving I was going to say, we just had thanksgiving, but I forget I am in Canada,American thanksgiving is right after Canadian thanksgiving,I hope you do get it with that red PVD beneath the the carbon fiber which would replace the chrome all the way around,it is a gorgeous vehicle this SRT red vapor edition.

Are you saying that you are going to get the traditional chrome window trim surround on the outside of the vehicle,I thought the reason you are paying an extra $3000+ was all these unique detailed things on this vehicle that is why it was called SRT red vapor editions, making it different than the regular SRT.

The young man that order is 2015 SRT red vapor edition has asking this question, what is RADAR RED PVD INTERIOR ACCENTS

Nobody has break it down and let him or everyone know what it is or what do they mean,he is expecting his SRT around thanksgiving.
And why does the 2015 SRT has black window trim instead of chrome at the auto show and might not be available on the 2015 SRT red vapor editions to the consumer,is this false advertisement?

Message to Chrysler if you have no intentions of marketing such item to the public that you display in the vehicle in photos and at auto shows, and have them listed in 2015 model line up at this website, then you should not mentioned it to give consumers false hope.

You can find a lot more detail in this thread:

http://www.jeepgarage.org/f97/2015-wk2-srt-red-vapor-special-edition-78940.html

But it is correct, they did not follow through with the black exterior window surrounds, nor all of the interior red accents as seen in the early renderings.

That thread includes a few pictures from a Red Vapor on a lot and it is confirmed they do NOT have red accents in place of the interior chrome. (New 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 4x4 For Sale | Elkhart IN | VIN: 1C4RJFDJ1FC659416 )

I assume the Red accents referenced in the build lists are referring to the red inlays in the doors and seats.

Don't think you could get them for false advertising as the original "pictures" were just sample renderings and they probably had small print somewhere saying they were subject to change... Not sure there though, just a wild guess...

You do still get a LOT of little upgrades, from the illuminated steering wheel to black chrome everything else... The majority of the price increase is due to the upgraded "Laguna Leather" seats being made available for the first time in black rather than only Sepia....

I just ordered my 2015 and really wish I could have ordered this package... I was already pushing bounderies of my budget and this just took me too far over...

$75k+ now for a Jeep SRT.....$4k for a package of non-unique stuff painted/plasti-chromed a different color.

Anything north of $50,000 is expensive to me in my opinion, yes it is $40 to $50,000 cheaper than the competition which is great, this SRT is a great performance suv.It is also possible that consumers that purchase one early will not get the exterior black trim around the widows or red pvd accents beneath the carbon fiber instead of the chrome paying up to $4,000.00 for this vapor edition package, compare to a consumer that purchase one in spring/summer of 2015 might get everything paying the same $4,000.00 for the same package.
Oops don't be surprise if Chrysler don't say you don't get the SRT logo on the driver and passenger floor mats right now you get the jeep logo floor mats, but the other buyers get everything a few months later for the same package.

That is why I say if you are going to spend this kind of money north of $70,000 be patient and wait to get the right color, all the features that you should get on the vapor edition package that maybe you are not getting right now,but the buyers that purchase theirs a few months from now will get everything for the same price.

It appears that people change their chrome surrounds or what I call the chrome that is around the windows to black. How is this done? Tape? Purchase black chrome? What are the options?? I am not handy so I will probably have to ask dealer or local guy to do it. I think w my black red vapor coming it has to be black, not shiny chrome.
Who knows the jeep may come with it after all? ?

Some have it painted, most have it covered with black vinyl.
