Question How do the lights behave w/ CLStech's harness on Export SRTs ?

I know that the harness only modifies the Ribbon DRL behaviour, but I would like someone with an EXPORT SRT to post a video trying each option (Auto - O - Parking - Headlight) and showing the results.

I have a GCC (middle east) EXPORT SRT and want to figure out if the harness will work well with it.

Thanks !

Well here it is, This is the Export model from Australia. But It'll give you an Idea how the CLStech Harness behaves.

Can I just add to the vid above, that the ribbons do not flicker when dimmed, its a camera thing.

Not to derail this thread, however CLStech does this mod work with the MY15 SRT?

Yes it works on my 2015 no problem at all................

The instructions are posted in this link:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing

*please make sure your headlight harnesses have the wires mentioned in the instructions**build dates after March 2014 may not have the needed wires. If you do not have the needed wires or have a 2015 model you will need to ask CLStech to include the needed pins/wires if you order from him.

Also the link to fit the new wires is here
March '14+ builds / 2015

Hi Grunter, mine is MY15 as well and yes it'll work. As Anzac said that you need to get the additional wire when you order it.

It's not really about that, my jeep has the headlights always on at all light options . The difference is that the LED strip only lits up during midday and at O with full intensity. The problem is the headlights are turned at O, and from what I see is that the harness will only let me have both the ribbons and strip functioning together at full intensity at O.. That will be problematic at night when blinding oncoming traffic and especially with the police.

The harness removes power to the Headlight Ribbons once the headlights are on. This causes the Headlight ribbons to dim to the stock SRT brightness similar to turning the parking lights on.

So you mean to say that the ribbons will dim at O after installing the harness ?

Not at all. O position is headlights off --> means headlight drl ribbons full intensity.

The videos really show you everything you need...

light position knob ( A ) - Headlight DRL ribbons are maximum brightness during the day, Dim at night
light position knob ( O ) - Headlight DRL ribbons are maximum brightness
light position knob ( Parking ) - Headlight DRL ribbons are maximum brightness
light position knob ( Headlight ) - Headlight DRL ribbons are lit dimly
*DRL Harness does not effect operation of bumper LED strip*
