How do you attach the catch can on a 2014!?!

Just picked up my 2014 today, Max Steel color with vapor rims. Traded in my 2012 SRT. Absolutely love it, just as fast but feels much more refined. Even got the approval from the wife. Went on a trip to SAMs club with her and the baby. No grunts, sighs, complaints about engine being too loud, suspension feeling rough, etc. She was very impressed. Can't wait to see what this thing can really do.

Now on to my question. Once I got home I quickly installed my HPE CAI and was about to install my catch can when I noticed they've seemed to redesign the front in the engine. For one thing it seemed to be more at an angle probably because of the tranny. But the bolt where you usually put the Z bracket is now being used for this black wire cluster protective clip.

Have any of you put one on, if so could you send me a clip of what you did? I don't want to to have to order another one. I also don't want to go very long without having it on.

One last comment or question, I noticed the transmission temp on this runs pretty hot. It was holding around 195 degrees. The 5 speed was usually around 172 or 176.

Re: How do you attach the catch can on a 2014!?!

I mounted mine in that same location using the old style mount after drilling a hole in the mount and turning it so the flat sat on top of the PCM mount. The well nuts are already in the PCM bracket, so you just need a bolt to attach it in place. I also made an aluminum strap to support the PCM mount and keep it from tilting toward the catch can. The strap is attached to the PCM mount and one of the large bolts on the fender. The billet tech mount look nicer, so I may go after one of those as well.

Thanks guys. I just placed my order for the new bracket and braided hoses, damn those hoses are expensive. They really get you on the options.

Anyway hope to get it sometime this week.

Re: How do you attach the catch can on a 2014!?!

Guess I might as well go ahead and order to get in line then, I can live with another $30-40 on the cost if it the lead time is that long...

I ordered just before you Scott and mine just came today. Email billet and ask for an update, I did that and they told me within a few days when it would ship out.

Installing to tomorrow.
