How well do SRTs sell?

I purchased a 2015 JGC Altitude for my wife and I am impressed. With a HEMI it must be a blast and a beast to drive. Anyway, I am doing my research because I am seriously considering picking up a 2014 or 2015 JGC SRT.

So at jeep.com, one can check inventory and I see 80+ 2014 JGC SRT across the US. That's alot. It tells me that jeep has some issues moving this SUV. You would think Jeep corp. would provide LOTs on incentive to dealerships to move this extra inventory.

Is 80+ 2014 SRTs sitting on lots normal?

Re: How well do SRTs sell?

80 seems high, but you have to remember that 2014 was much longer model year for the Grand Cherokee due to the refresh and now that 2015s are out it may take a little longer to remove the remaining inventory. I can't remember them offering any incentives on the SRTs in the past few years, doubt they start now because of 80 units nationwide.

Honestly 80 isn't really that many. Less than 2 per state. Ypu can get them for slightly under invoice. Maybe a little better if ready on the lot. I special ordered mine at under Invoice. Last I saw the #'s the 14 was the best selling year of the jeep srt ever.

2 per state is one way of looking it and this is small. But I would bet that there are not 80+ 2014 porsche cayenne turbos on dealer lots across the country.

BTW ... how many 2014 SRTs did jeep sell?

The jeep srt is the #1 selling srt. 80 across the entire US is NOT a lot. Seems low to me.

And the cayenne is $130-150k...totally different animal.

Re: How well do SRTs sell?

FYI got my 14' used with 4k miles for mid-$50k...tried to let the 15's hit the ground then found a low-mileage 14' and worked some goodies into the deal...very happy so far; put about 4k miles on it in 4 months and the beast just EATS the road.

And you'd be surprised how many 14' Cayenne Turbo's there are out there...that is Porsche's #1 selling vehicle as well but as Scott said $120k is point of entry. I know my Dad was looking at a 14' that has an MSRP of $138k and they were taking $15k off without even getting into haggling...the 15's are on the lots so out with the old(ish)
