$85k+

Regardless of their info, I trust our guy more and say there's no Hellcat. They can't build enough Chally or Chargers now, throw the Jeep in and it will be an even bigger clusterfudge.

Good point Schlep!

Although, they could announce it for the 2017ish model year, which could give enough time to catch up on sales and their production numbers.

Either way, that's a lot of money for a Jeep.

But damn, 707HP, with full factory warranty....a man can dream.

There is some truth to all these rumors for a reason. I dont see it happening till 2018 MY. But FCA has suprised us before. Anyway. ....if this were true.....the debut would be at the NY auto show...not chicago.

So I call SRT today because of the other thread on the correct oil filter and I start talking with the person on the phone about how things have been there since they announced SRT going back to Dodge and they proceed to tell me the biggest news now is the announcement of the Jeep Hellcat. I first ask them to clarify which they do and then I start searching this site and autoblog while I'm still on the phone and of course I find nothing. I tell them that they may be a little ahead of the public announcement and all they said is there is always plenty of rumors going around but they believe this because of who at SRT told them. My guess is we will see a Jeep Hellcat at the NY Auto Show.

whenever they release it i hope they don't have any potential fuel leaks as every hellcat sold to date has been recalled as of yesterday.....

I just purchased a filter yesterday at the dealer. They told me that other SRT filter is designed for a Viper. He told me the 899 filter is what my VIN calls for. So I bought the 899.

Yes, it is original part number for the Viper, but fits all SRT motors. The dealers and even SRT hotline are idiots. All they do is look up your VIN and read back what the computer tells them. Go that route if you want to, but there are options. Do I really have to take a picture of the invoice showing the 05038041AA was installed on my SRT?

I too had a "leaky" oil filter installed by the dealership at my last change. Blamed it on them not cleaning off the undercarriage when they changed it but upon further review they cited "oil filter leak." Hmmm, interesting to say the least.
