Is this event still taking place rain or shine today?

It was raining out so the brakes were a little wet and I think that is why you heard a squeak.

My impressions of it are this:

It is very quite. There is zero noise from the exhaust. I think my stock 5.7 was louder. I found this very disappointing.

Design wise it is sleek but I don't like the fact that the got rid of the duel pipes out of the middle of the bumper. The interior is designed more like a Benz and is very comfortable. IMO its by far the best jeep interior to date.

It does not seem as fast off the line as previous models but I have only driven an 08 twice, so I will let someone who has more experience behind the wheel talk about that.

I think the thing that stood out the most to me was the brakes. I absolutely loved them. They were the best brakes I have tested.

Overall I liked it allot and left wanting one but whether or not I would pay $61K is a whole other discussion.

The 2012 are real nice cars. The Jeep is in another league interior wise and feature wise vs the WK. Its like comparing a mustang to a BMW.
The audio system blows the doors off my kicker system. Its not even comparable. INCREDIBLE audio by HK. Hammer told me HK came to Chrysler with their brand new car audio system, but it had to be a larger car. The outcome is amazing. I compared 2 songs used by Audio Engineers to test audio. I had been listening to them for the last week at all different volumes to identify weak points in my Kicker system. The HK did not have those weak spots. There was no break up where I had it on my Jeep. The bass was much stronger. It shook the air in the car. My kicker doesn't do that. I was in the 300, so I would imagine it's louder in the jeep with the open space.
The brakes are better by a good margin, however it is a tough test on wet pavement. Same goes for Acceleration. Tough to really compare "fastest" or "shortest" stops on wet pavement. Wet Acceleration is not as quick but they didn't let me try it after holding t/c off for 5 seconds, but when you do...The ESC off message appears in the cluster. Only good things can come from that, IMO. I took a video and there is a hesitation at launch like it's not getting the full throttle message, because when it does, it takes off like a raped ape. I'm interested to see if that ESC changes that or maybe a better intake or tune or both. Hopefully that can be fixed sooner or later.

I really like the 300. It's a very NICE car. You are fully spoiled in the 300, cooled/heated cup holders, beautiful gauge cluster, KICK ASS 8" head unit that is very responsive. It was much faster than my Nav when going from screen to screen.
The LEDs on the 300 are sweet looking too. Grey isn't a good color on that car, but a white one could end up in my garage. It's that nice in my opinion.
I can't wait for the new SRT Experience.
Hammer said the new cars have been ordered and will be in the line up shortly.
The trailer has been tagged with a Jeep Garage magnet. See if you can find it if you go to the tour.

Just got back. Nice to DRIVE one of these today. Limited to straight line acceleration (on a very short run)!

Acceleration was quite remarkable. ZERO slip on the slick pavement. Breaking was equally competent!

A few pics on a grey drizzly day - GLAD I went!

My guess is that those brembos are mounted with semi-racing brake pads......

My Cayenne S and Cayman S and my 911 race car breaks squeal till properly heated, as far as I kow, it is due to the more aggressive compound on the brake pads......

Just brake more aggressively and the squeal will go away......:)
