Re: Is there a 2017 SRT Jeep

Update:

Had a meeting with the regional FCA manager. Went over my issues and went for a drive. He confirmed it was NOT normal and has never felt anything like it. His comments were "it feels like an early double clutch transmission but worse". Anyone who has ever been in the First Ferrari F1 trannys will get it.

They are ordering a new transmission controller for me as well as a new programmer for the dealership. If that doesn't work they will do a buy back. The buy back doesn't seem all that great given I have to buy another FCA vehicle at list price. That pretty much means most of the extra money above my normal trade in will be eaten up with the new SRT price.

I'm happy something is getting done but I'm very frustrated with all I've had to do to get it right. I still feel like they owe me for all of the "no nothing is wrong you dumbass" attitude I got.

buy backs are list to list with you paying for any "extras/upgrades" over your prior option list...you should be able to get them to waive the yoy price increase so that if you order an identically equipped it would be net zero to you, only the true adds would be chargeable, yes, at list no discount but eh, that's nothing to sweat imho.

That's what I've heard but the rep told me different. It sounded like a hybrid "lemon buy back trade assist". He said they'll use the Texas lemon law calculator and then give me that money towards the sticker price of a new FCA vehicle. So basically what he told me greatly benefits them. He picked the part of each plan that helps them. What I calculated would put my buy back at $48-52k based on my mileage and other issues. Couple that with a list price of $76-78k for what I want and what I still owe on my Jeep and it doesn't really help me much.

I'm fine with a lemon law but let me negotiate on the price of a new SRT

ah one of those non-lemon law buy backs, yeah that's what they do if no official case is filed (then the replace is definitely list to list)...you should be able to negotiate the mileage offset but be sure they are at least following the TX formula that at least only charges 50% for the miles from first reported problem to buy back date. If you have a solid LL case on miles/dates/problems but don't want to go that route maybe you can use the fact that you "can" to get them to negotiate some....the reg'l reps have their boundaries and then that's it, they'll tell you to file a LL case if you are not happy with their solution...good luck, glad you got FCA confirmation of problem....

Re: Is there a 2017 SRT Jeep

So is it official that there will be no more 6.4 Jeeps after 2017 or is that an allpar rumor? Why would FCA force repeat customers to jump to a 700+ horsepower model with a starting price of $90k? I understand the Jeep is their highest selling SRT model but they're really pushing it with that one.

Re: Is there a 2017 SRT Jeep

Well...milous may chime in...but the info we have right now says that all v8 SRT models with switch to a v6tt in 2019. We'll see if that holds true and fca sticks to their plans. More coming soon.
