Considering that oil cokes at around 250*F, I'd say that your sensor's fooked

Not if you are parked in an active volcano.
Otherwise, the sensor is fried or you have a short or open [don't recall which one drives full scale]

wow it does that at 250? I've had mine up in the 240's

The Jeeps at the SRT Track Experience were running 255-265 oil temp when we were doing the hot laps part of the day
