It's been exactly one week with my SRT

7 days of smiles all SRT induced.

Pros:

-Love the power
-Great exhaust sound
-Upgraded Radio is OK
-Love the Displays and soft controls. No problem finding anything I want (unlike our Cadillac cue)
-Interior is very nice
-Gas mileage is better than I expected
-Get tons of compliments on the look
-Brembos are compliment magnets, the kids notice them first strangely
-Really strong brakes, love the Brembos

Cons:

-I have updated the software but the SRT Pages show up randomly. There is really no excuse nowadays for crappy software.

-White paint has rust spots at the wheel arches.

-Wheels dust up pretty fast.

-The plastic arches and valences don't really align well, again no real excuse nowadays.

-The rear of the seat cushion bolsters dig into my bottom.

-Lousy warranty in Canada, 3 years only.

-No cargo net, it should be included.

Congrats on the new Jeep. I also have a white 2014. Have had mine for about 3 months and can comment on some of your cons. The unconnect system software in my opinion is horrible. Nothing but problems with screen locking up, Bluetooth not connecting, etc. supposedly the next software update should fix some of the bugs...we will see. The brake dust is gonna happen with factory pads. Sucks to have to keep cleaning the wheels can't agree more. Many posts about people changing out pads for Hawk ceramics and helping with brake dust issues. As far as what you are calling rust spots on the wheel arches..be careful. There are quite a few posts on here that you find. It's not actually rust spots, what it is is a discoloration in the paint from silicone based tire dressing. It was more than likely applied to your truck at the dealer when prepped for delivery. Once you drive the vehicle and the dressing flings onto the fender flares, it will discolor them. Unfortunately there is no remedy for removing the yellow spots. Several people have tried everything..even as far as wet sanding the clearcoat and nothing works. Only seems to happen on the plastic trim on the lighter color trucks..some type of chemical reaction. If you use tire dressing make sure it is water based or your problem will only become worse. One last thing as far as the radio. I am assuming you have the HK upgrade. I thought it was so so too til just about a month ago. I got in my truck and the Bluetooth audio from my iPhone started playing automatically. Wow what a difference a high quality recording such as a song downloaded from iTunes makes. If you have only listened using am fm or sxm, try using a different audio source. Night and day difference in my opinion. You won't have to turn your radio volume up to 25+ just to make the music sound so so. Hope this helps and enjoy the truck.

Re: It's been exactly one week with my SRT

I've done the latest software update. Fortunately I don't have the Uconnect issues that are happening on your car. My bluetooth is solid and the unit never hangs on me. I only have the disappearing SRT App problem. Sometimes, when it (SRT) does load, it tells me my registration has expired do I want the reregister (I think that this is what it says). This is probably part of the same problem.

I bought the cargo net online...think it was $20. Yes, it should be included.

Did you see the thread about the brown spots on white JGCs? It's because of the tire shine IIRC. Not just a jeep thing...I think it's really any white car.
