I saw this morning that my Jeep was going to be delivered today (thanks, Milous) so I sent an email to the GM this morning. I didn't hear anything all day, so I called the GM a little while ago. Evidently, when it came off the truck it was leaking fluid of some kind. He wasn't sure whether it was coolant or power steering fluid (the tech had it in the shop). He said that he would get back to me when he had more info in. Great finish to this whole debacle, starting with my order in early June.....

Anyhow, so we'll see what he says it is. I assume if it was something small, like a seal that was put on wrong, etc, it's no biggie.

He did say that it looks 10 times better than he thought it would look like after seeing it in pictures, and that he loves the red color. Also, he thought it was funny that I knew about the delivery today before he did.

Of course, price hasn't come up yet directly. I sent all the price protection stuff in the email this morning.

Good Luck and hope things work out well for you! We'd like to see a Red one posted here!

Maybe the little monster was drooling.

I'm sure it will be ok.

My jeep was delivered today. I asked my dealer why the hold-up. He said there was a problem withthe differential
leaking on early prod models. Jeep was holding them to see if there was leakage on other early ones. Will pick up mine on Fri.

Interesting. Probably the problem with mine. It was built the day before Thanksgiving. The guys were already wasted.

I called and left a message and emailed. Nothing returned. Great.

Got my Jeep on the 9th. Have about 100 miles on it. Only probs are auto headlights don't go to high beams, circle thing on mirror blinks despite my poking at it and I can't get a phone directory set up. But I realy like the truck.

So you mention price, i hope you arent talking about the price to fix a factory defect! - this is not for you to pay, i would recommend if they suggest that you have to pay for the factory defect you 1) tell them to seek repudiation from the plant, or 2) refuse delivery and tell them to order a new one.. either one of those approaches will guarantee you wont pay for their error..

when most of these guys ordered their 2012 Jeep SRT8...there wasnt firm pricing released. Then Jeep changed the pricing and made certain options standard and added the cost of those items to the Jeep. BUT....the great Milous intercepted an internal email stating that dealers could honor their original price and get a credit from SRT for the options packages that went standard.....and the customer not have to pay the difference.

I test drove it tonight. Boy is it nice. On track mode there's definitely a difference.

I was there for a few hours, and we're still working on getting invoice with price protection. As I said in the other thread, they believe me that it's a real letter from Ralph but their rep needs to verify it. They also said since the letter doesn't mention the Tow Group specifically, they probably won't honor that increase. How did people get their dealers to believe the letter was real if they've never seen it before?

The GM is awesome and says he thinks the letter is real and he'll go to bat for me (we'll see). The sales manager is OK, but then he started making comments about how even at invoice without price protection, it's a steal, etc. And he knows that he could tell me tomorrow they're not accepting price protection, and I'm screwed.
