You are 100% right about that. I mean off of customer service alone they have not earned that. We got their 2nd most expensive product and I can't get a detailed car wash when I drop it off for service. I mean use to take my $35k E550 to Mercedes and automatically knew when I came back my car would be detailed and washed (even if it was raining) no matter what I dropped it off for.. Courtesy car was always offered.. Just to name a few reasons why I think your statement is 100% dead on. I just added lifetime warranty to this jeep n plan on driving it til they pay me not too.. Am thinking 2018 GTR if body changes as my second car

Re: Jeep confirms 100k+ range rover rival

I love my SRT.

With that being said... If jeep makes the supercharged version 100k plus...

I am jumpin ship and buying a Range Rover SVR as my next toy...

I'm not paying 100k for the issues these jeeps have. I have been a diehard Jeep guy for years... But to pay that much for a Jeep and have nothing but issues.... Not money well spent.

I may just keep mine and build the crap out of it... Waiting to see if the Kitty powered GC comes to life....and the price...

i'm very keen on the SVR as well. But don't be fooled that they don't have their issues as well. I wouldn't feel good spending 100K+ on the range rover and have issues either..

I agree.... We already have a 2015 RR in my house hold... Build and quality is top notch.

All have their troubles... It just seems like Jeep has issues with stuff that SHOULD NOT be an issue.

Gotha, i guess i'm just lucky 2014 delivered October 2013 with 45k miles. No crazy issues to speak of knock on wood.

Anyway that SVR looks good man

Re: Jeep confirms 100k+ range rover rival

Just an FYI the SVR looks WEAK in person. I've seen 2. It should have been squatty with some 315s or 325s. Tires aren't small but look small. It doesn't look very sporty rolling. Jeep looks much more aggressive. It's also not that fast. ML63, Cayenne TT, and X5M are all faster. Not only that, they are reliable.

I know far too many people with range rovers and all say they are the most unreliable cars they've ever owned. Also some of the worst depreciating after the new model change buzz wears off.

My understanding is that this new Luxury model will be based on the new Grand Wagoneer and not due until around 2020.

No, but if you DO find a suitcase or briefcase in the luggage area, suggest not opening it before you contact the DEA. Rumor is that John Delorean is now on the sales team.

The service bay at the local RR dealer tends to stay busy..... not all oil changes either.

However, Jeep will hopefully think carefully about what it means to be in the same price range as the alternatives. The Summit/Overland are pretty good bargains compared to a Range Rover, and not that shabby against the Land Rover... but 100K warts tend to be more prominent than $50K warts.

... or maybe they'll just import the Maserati SUV and slap a trailrated on it...
