Just wanna throw my 2 cents in..
First, I'm with Scott on this. The need for a dedicated organizer trumps all else. We wouldn't want to find the perfect geographic location and have maybe 1000 ppl saying, "ok I'm coming" then everyone show up and nothing is in order. Of course lots of beer would help such a situation, but I imagine many would be bringing family, so it'd be nice to have a well organized meet. Wouldn't wanna be somewhere all day with our wives (or husbands) standing around bored while we talk cars.
Second, I agree with SRTGirl. Demographics aren't exactly the deciding factor when ppl in those areas may not participate. Nuff said.
Third, back to Scott, I agree somewhere close to him is best bc he's the heart of this site and I think we all trust he could organize a nice event. After all, we wouldn't even be having this discussion if JG wasn't such a hit.. That and he practically volunteered to do it. So I say let's put the first one in his backyard, and the next host(s) would have a good template to work from.
Honestly, idc where it is. I will be there regardless.. My fiancé and I love a good road trip, and as far as I'm concerned, the further the better!.. Eh, well sorta. I ain't driving to Cali. F that! But KY or TN sound like a plan to me. It's a straight shot down 75, and I have a few co-workers (including Marlon) who would come. And I know a few ppl at the Toledo plants (which are on the way down 75), so I could get ahold of them and maybe some will join the convoy.
I'm glad the discussion is growing, and really hope it happens. Living in MI we have all kinds of cruises, but they're all getting a lil boring. Including the Woodward Dream Cruise. I can only look at so many classic cars. It's like, hey look there's another 3 window.. Oh look, there's a 5 window behind him!
I mean they're nice and all, but c'mon. Lol.. So again, I'm wit it.
