The GC SRT is a sales gold mine for them. As has now been confirmed, it is not killed and nor would they ever. You don’t kill the golden goose.

Side note, you must be new around here to be asking Milous to back up a statement he makes.

I second this and repeat my statement from last year... I heard once that someone witnessed Milous incorrect on a Jeep fact but there where no survivors to prove this.

Stay thirsty my friends.

P.S. I still need to buy the white one with the sepia interior, so they are not allowed to discontinue it.

I heard this rumor 2-3 weeks ago and it made me sick. Then I was reassured the Jeep srt was not dead. Then the news today...so many mixed messages from fcw......

Honestly it wouldn't bother me if they discontinued it. I just bought mine but I never buy the same vehicle twice and if they are discontinued it will only mean better resale for ours.
You're new here so let me make this easy.. Milous, is as close to Ralph Gilles himself as we're going to get. He has a 100% correct track record with everything he says. Literally, everything. he has inside scoops. He also enjoys steak and a good, cold beer.

Don't ever question him again. We don't want this to get ugly.

j/k.. but seriously, Milous is the shit, ask anyone.

re: Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT being discontinued?

Scott - your statement about nobody wanting a Dart SRT - I have to disagree with you there. That segment, the WRX segment if you will is one of the easiest ones to exploit. Imagine if Dodge did an SRT Dart that was 5k cheaper than the WRX?

cha ching.

For what it's worth, I see more darts than I care to admit on the road. I think they sell quite well for Dodge. Not their top dog, but not the worst either.

The dart has been a turd sales wise. I just saw the April numbers and unless I'm mistaken...it was down 29 or 32% from last year total. I will look again
..but only selling 4-5k econo-boxes per month is terrible. The dart wont worry subaru at all. It will be 0 competition to the wrx. The wrx has built its reputation for years...and don't even get me started on the piece of crap journey

re: Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT being discontinued?

Regarding the Dart, while sales are off 29% YTD, they are still selling a half-way decent amount of them, 6,000/month, certainly not what Dodge would like to see, but enough that the vehicle is still profitable.

The 2017 Dart and 2017 Dart SRT will be all-new vehicles, if they hit the mark on the features, design and execution, it could do extremely well sales-wise. The Dart SRT will also be much more affordable that the other SRT vehicles, as was the Neon and Caliber SRT's. Dodge sold more than 25,000 Neon SRT's in three model years, and almost 6,000 Caliber SRT's the 1.5 model years that it was out (Caliber lineup was discontinued early).

As for the 2018 AWD "Journey" SRT, it will be interesting to see what they come up with for the design and features. It may end up under a totally different name. The original plan was to come out with a Durango SRT, and it was already being planned for the 2016 model year (July 2015 production launch). Instead, they decided to cancel the Durango version and go with the "Journey". Could be because it's lighter, and will be able to be sold at a more aggressive price point than a Durango variant.

re: Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT being discontinued?

Lets hope they do indeed decide not to bring the SRT Durango out. If that were to happen, I could see that giving them the option/justification to kill the Jeep SRT (same platform).

I will say, I was pretty saddened to hear the Jeep SRT may be cancelled. Although I have not bought one yet (still working overseas), I still plan to get one when I return to the States.

Being the sales leader, I think it would be unlikely for them to cancel it, or at least I hope so.

P.S. It's good to see posts again from you Milous. Haven't seen you on a whole lot since the 2014 release. I admit that I don't go through each thread as much as I used to so that may be the reason??
