Jeep srt 2015 vs srt night 2016

Hi Guys
Im new here and new to the SRT. Im located in Australia.

Im wondering if anyone could advise what the difference is between a Jeep SRT 2015 vs Jeep SRT night 2016.

I know that the badges, wheels, grills are blacked out as well as laguna leather seats, i also know the gear shift stick is new but is there anything else different or mechanicaly different?

Looking at purchasing a SRT this week but im undecided and wondering if the extra $30,000 for the night is worth it or not.

Thank you.

Re: Jeep srt 2015 vs srt night 2016

I just bought a 2016 Night... traded in a 2014 SRT.

You pretty much covered it as to the differences. An advantage that the 2015 has is that the AFE Momentum GT CAI fits... doesn't on the 2016.

While the Night... with all the blacked out trim and wheels looks cool... I'd go for a 2015 if you are looking at $30K difference.

The 2016 also has the valet mode if important to you. The '15 does not.

Re: Jeep srt 2015 vs srt night 2016

Hi Guys,

Nice ride,

Thanks, so all cosmetic things, i heard somewhere that the transmission is different or something??? Apparently it is smoother in the gears?

Or was that from the 2014 to 2015 model?

I've been offered a 2015 SRT in black from a friend for $70,000, it has the following upgrades from the factory:
Spider monkey wheels
Upgraded Harmon Kardon stereo to 18 speakers
2 rear Tvs
Panoramic sunroof

Seems like a steal for this price.

Does the 2014 and 2015 have the same transmission?

I've just done a vehicle check online i was told it was a 2015 but it comes up that build year was 2014?

Does that mean that it is a 2014?

I didn't notice any difference in shifting between my 2014 and the 2016. But I know that some folks with 2014s had clunky downshifts using the paddle shifters... I never had that with mine. It was a great car but black is such a PITA.

IMO, the black-outed look of the Night is what they should have done with the SRT from the beginning. Before mods, I felt like my 2014 looked too much like other GCs. I spent a lot of money and effort to get the look that now comes with the Night Edition.

Re: Jeep srt 2015 vs srt night 2016

Yes i agree.
Looks great all blacked out, compared to the standard SRT.
Front Grills upper and lower, badges, etc cost approx $1500 in parts. And thats not including blacking out your wheels and the chrome moulds on the sides of the car where the windows sit as well.

The night definatley is nicer but is it worth the extra $20,000?

And than there is the 2017 model would you buy a SRT night and spend 100k knowing the 2017 is around the corner and also the hellcat...

Im so confused, do i buy the 2015 SRT for 70k an spend 6k to get it to look like the night or do i buy the night version for 100k or do i wait for the 2017?

Lollll.... Its doing in my head.
