Re: Jeep SRT8 on ebay...actual pictures of it in the showroom

Well said GCOverland ill wait this one out, personally I wanted the 8 speed tranny better navi, love the interior though.

Very curious to see what time, sales etc do to the price and value of these.

The hype and mark-ups will be gone by then and the SRT8 will be a much better vehicle.

If I would have to chose a SRT8-model today, I'd pick the 300. $70K for this Jeep is simply ridiculous. I can see myself paying invoice for the upgraded MY2014 SRT8 - but not $70K for the current one. And the MY2014 won't be less fun to drive.

If I would be a current SRT8-owner (WK1), I'd simply hold on to my baby for 2 years.

well said SIR

Even with the 8 speed and upgraded NAV unit, I still think the price is too high. That said, I will still buy it now (assuming my dealer doesn't screw me), because I don't think the car (in most respects) will be all that much better in 2014. A tad faster, maybe. A tad better mileage, maybe. It's already super luxurious now.

Re: Jeep SRT8 on ebay...actual pictures of it in the showroom

I have to side with you guys as now is the worst time to try and pick one up. Im sure there are some dealers out there that want them off their lot ASAP and will possibly deal a little. On the other hand, I think its pretty obnoxious for a dealer to mark one up now and set it on its lot. If its a presold at the mark up, that is fine, but a dealer to mark a new product up past the MSRP and set it on his lot is bad business. Whats worse is there will be a few guys out there that ordered them only to get them marked up past MSRP when they arrive.

If the price bothers you, you can always pick up a used one. Just as fast, more involving and available.

If you have to have the latest and greatest, you gotta pay.

Believe many people paid over sticker to get the first SRT Jeeps when they came out. Just the way it is.

I tried to dig up what people were paying back then. No luck but I remember hearing grotesque stories of price gouging.
