Re: **JEEPGARAGE EXCLUSIVE** 2014 SRT Launch Control TIPS and FACTS!

Ok - so I got mine working (or it was working after a UConnect reboot).

Let's just say leaving at 3k gets the tires loose - ha!

There *really* should be a notification on this. The EVIC should light up and show you where you are set... Why would they make this blind?

Re: **JEEPGARAGE EXCLUSIVE** 2014 SRT Launch Control TIPS and FACTS!

I can also attest that it works! I tried both ways, and was able to get it to only 1100 rpm and all the way to almost 3600! I will say, no matter how quickly i release the brakes it still feels sluggish out of the hole. Well not sluggish, but I am definitely not breaking the tires loose.

Just got mine to work...I did it in the rain on a slick back road and got some wheel spin and pulled a 4.7, which is better then my usual of 4.8 in the dry. More testing to come!

Re: **JEEPGARAGE EXCLUSIVE** 2014 SRT Launch Control TIPS and FACTS!

The vehicle does not give any notification in the EVIC or performance pages that the launch RPM has changed. When you stand on the throttle you will see the new launch RPM. The Grand Cherokee SRT has too much traction to spin the tires on dry pavement that is above 50 F even at 3200 rpm. The new RPM setting will stay as long as the engine is running. When the engine is turn off the launch RPM will return to 2000 RPM at start up. Please be aware that launching at high RPM's require a lot of brake pedal pressure to hold the car. Get a good foot full of brake before applying full throttle to keep the vehicle from jumping forward.

Re: **JEEPGARAGE EXCLUSIVE** 2014 SRT Launch Control TIPS and FACTS!

Thank you so much for this info. Can't wait to test. I am in Utah and the my fastest time at our elevation is 4.9 sec. and I was going slightly down hill. Hope this helps me get a little faster.

Re: **JEEPGARAGE EXCLUSIVE** 2014 SRT Launch Control TIPS and FACTS!

Scott, Do you know if you Hold Traction Control for a few seconds to actually turn off traction control prior to going into launch control, will that help with faster times or does Launch Control Overide everything? And/Or are there any aftermarket mods yet for the 2014 SRT to increase 0-60 times?

Re: **JEEPGARAGE EXCLUSIVE** 2014 SRT Launch Control TIPS and FACTS!

traction is auto disabled in track and launch control.

You can try an intake, ported tb and 180 tstat. Thats all I have at the moment on my 13' and Ive seen some good improvements...especially during cool weather. I also did some suspsension and brakes. Eibach drp springs and brembo sport rotors with hawk/stoptech pads.

Re: **JEEPGARAGE EXCLUSIVE** 2014 SRT Launch Control TIPS and FACTS!

It took me a few times to get the settings right- but once I figured it out it made a HUGE difference. The fastest I was getting with the default launch control settings was a 5.2 0-60. Once I figured out how to jump up the RPMs I hit a 4.7 and i must say it felt DAMN GOOD! Wow these trucks have some serious power. Thanks for the inside intel Scott.
