Re: **JEEPGARAGE EXCLUSIVE! Launch Control tips & Facts! Raise and lower RPM's

Ouch! I really hope that my wife is with me if/when something happens to mine because of some idiot or I might end up in jail.

Re: **JEEPGARAGE EXCLUSIVE! Launch Control tips & Facts! Raise and lower RPM's

I'm not sure if this trick works with Canadian vehicles..

let me see if I am doing this right?

Vehicle is in drive. push the launch button so launch is now engaged telling me to put my left foot on the brake, my right foot on the gas and hold down both until you, well, launch.

So with left on brake, in launch mode.. I use my left hand and push and hold down the launch button. Right hand turns select-trac knob to the left or right, depending if I want ti decrease or increase rpm's for launch. Then right foot down, launch at new rpms.

right? wrong? help?

I di this and when i put my finger down on launch button, nothing happens... no ding or whatever, am I supposed to hold it down for any time frame before turning the knob slowly with my right (while launch is still held down of course) - when i do this, nothing changes.

Does the evic change or tell you you're going + / - for rpms or... does the needle just roll left or right.. or...

I tried a few times, nothing was working. I felt plently clever and then clued in maaaaybe it's not active for Canadian vehicles

Saudi.SRT8 is a name known to all
There is no ding or a +\- on the cluster , every click u feel is 100 ... So if you turn the knop 10 clicks to the right (clockwise) . the car would launch @2500 rpm rather than the usual 1500 rpm <<<< it's just an example

Make sure you do the 'adjustment' prior to mashing the gas...

...and, yes, they really, really need to put a notification for that on the EVIC.

Re: **JEEPGARAGE EXCLUSIVE! Launch Control tips & Facts! Raise and lower RPM's

Got it - was able to launch with winter tires (on dry pavement, temp was -2C/28F) to a 4.6 but that's still with slippage. Not overly impressive but I am 1,129 feet above sea level as well. Vehicle only has 1090km (677 miles) on it.

I know it gets a lot better!

Re: **JEEPGARAGE EXCLUSIVE! Launch Control tips & Facts! Raise and lower RPM's

Now that we are getting 40* and below temps pretty regularly I'm seeing 4.0s quite often with a 3.9 scattered in here or there. I swear people think I'm nuts because I rip away from stop signs and red lights like a teenager...it's too much fun!
