Just had my first oil change at an SRT dealership :(

Got the invoice and I just got home and googled the part numbers.
Filter is 4884899-AB and oil was 68171066-PA. Are these the same items that were in my srt when I picked it up new? It appears the filter is the non srt one. Did my jeep come with an srt specific filter ? I believe part number 5038041AA. Or is this filter an upgraded one that is not stock on 2015 srt jeeps? I want to be sure that the filter they installed is not the correct one before I raise hell.

That 4884899-AB you have above is the MO-899, I just bought one of those for my 5.7 last week. I think you are correct there is a different one for the SRT. I remember people saying the you could use the SRT one in the 5.7 so they probably fit the same but the SRT one is probably better some how probably more oil flow or something like that. I would take it back and make them change it to the correct one and if they give you a hard time call the SRT hotline.

What a pain in the ass. I even told the guy I believe it takes an srt specific filter and how it's a great filter. SOAB.

Re: Just had my first oil change at an SRT dealership :(

I called the srt hotline and they confirmed the filter installed is the correct filter. He also added that he did not think the 503 viper filter should be used on the 6.4l hemi as it may cause oil pressure issues. I'm no mechanic...obviously lol but that's what I was told though it doesn't make sense to me. Anyway. I had the parts guy pull the filter removed from my truck and it was the 488 filter.

05038041AA ?? Is the right one or not?

I was told this is the right number for a 2014 upgraded filter.

I'm about to order so someone with hardcore info chime in, please!

That is the correct SRT filter. It does not come on our vehicle, but is applicable per drivesrt.com Great Haste, Less Filling: The SRTĀ® high-performance oiling system results in more capability and increased fuel efficiency. : driveSRT News

I had the dealer install that part# on my vehicle and the SRT tech was fine with it. Order away!

Re: Just had my first oil change at an SRT dealership :(

When I changed my oil the first time I remember the filter I took off said SRT. I was kind of surprised, actually. I've been using Mobil1 filters since and I always change my own oil because I don't trust the dealerships.

Re: Just had my first oil change at an SRT dealership :(

It's obvious the parts guy at my dealer didn't know this. I just ordered one for my next oil change! This filter with mobil 1!

Re: Just had my first oil change at an SRT dealership :(

I know this thread is a little old, but I was worried that my dealership installed the wrong filter for my first change today. The part number they installed was 4884899-AC. I called the SRT hotline, and without telling them what part # was installed on my car, they said the correct part was in fact 4884899-AC.

I'm not sure if -AB was phased out, but I'm glad they confirmed it was the correct part installed. Just posting this in case anyone else has this issue going forward.
