I think the lack of folding mirror is frankly a non issue....mirror housing in cars nowadays is so fat that when you "fold" them you do not gain that much space anyway...it is a gimmick to me...

A heated windshield would be nice ans so a keep lane assist...you can get it in a Charger or in a Chrysler 300 but not in a SRT...go figure...

Re: Just test drove a 2015 SRT

I disagree. I drive a Raptor which is one of the widest vehicles on the road and I always fold them to squeeze in tight spaces or to keep peeps near my truck from walking into them.

Re: Just test drove a 2015 SRT

Folding mirror and backup camera are the two options that I wish my 2500 hd had. It's got those great big camper style mirrors that don't power fold and I literally have a half inch on either side of the garage door opening. If I would have got the smaller standard mirror they would have been power folding. Now does that make any sense? I've though about trading it in just to have the power folding mirrors.

Re: Just test drove a 2015 SRT

They do have automatic folding mirrors.....you just need to drive 200mph and they will fold back

I can only imagine the whistling sound they would make at that speed. Frightening.

Re: Just test drove a 2015 SRT

An update. My dealership finally got back to me and gave me a price. But I wanted to mention some findings that was not obvious in my quest.

Jeep.com allows one to build a SRT without a sunroof but I have been looking at a few dozen SRTs on lots and have not come across any without a sunroof. SO I asked my dealer why and was told when dealers order, they are forced to order a sunroof and that only special orders for customers can one order a SRT without a sunroof.

Also, I know the spider monkey wheels comes in satin but you can't build one at Jeep.com with this option. I don't get it.

And last, it is not obvious but if you get hitch option, it includes the full spare.

So my build and final price (prices listed below are invoice pricing):

- Billet Silver >> $62,314
- High Per Audio >> $1,776
- Tow package >> $886
- Satin Split 5 >> $708
- Single disc player >> $396
- Gas >> $19
- Destination fee >> $995

- Total invoice is $67,094
- Purchased price is $2500 under invoice so $64,594

is $64,594 a fair deal?

Re: Just test drove a 2015 SRT

Not sure if I'm allowed to cross post other sites but going to so if I can't a mod can delete it.

Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 - 6.4L SRT8 has a list of options and pricing. Not sure how accurate it is so take it with a grain of salt.

Based upon that though I'd say a reasonable price.

Here in Aus they only do the HiPo audio included with the sunroof.
And unless you want a 6 month wait it's red, black or white.
Mainly due to shipping times they do it so you only have 6 possible options, which the dealer already has enroute and can then do a 4 week delivery. (Mine was just under 4).

If they offered all the options they'd have either really long wait times or a pre-ordered Deep Cherry, tow package, no audio, sunroof sitting on the lot they have to discount heavily to get rid of.

I was tempted for the 6 month wait just to get the Max Steel as it would be pretty rare here in Aus but in the end I couldn't wait that long after test driving.

By the way, not every new GC SRT has problems like it appears on the forums. My 2015 has been completely flawless so far (knock on wood).

Good luck with your purchase.

I've had mine for 2 weeks now and couldn't be happier. I was a bit miffed by some of the negativity on the forum as well. This thing is a beast, I was a bit concerned with the 8 speed and if it would always be searching for the right gear but it has so much torque it really doesn't matter what gear you're in...step on gas and it goes.

I have a 2008 Corvette that's been modified to push about 500hp and I walk by it quite easily in the parking garage, I love driving my Jeep. I having nothing but good things to say about it.

I love modifying my vehicles but I'm pretty sure this will remain stock, my car is loud enough and as a daily driver the Jeep has just enough growl. If anything I'd change the tips and leave the exhaust as is.

Just go and get one
