Lease question

Hello,
Any members on here leasing. Wondering what to expect on a 36 mo/$0 down/12K mi/yr on 2014 SRT. Did some fishing - not negotiating, just some preliminary "this is what it'll run ya" and I'm getting back around $1,000 a month. I thought it sounded high, but I didn't delve into the calculations to see how they got there. Louisiana is a monthly use tax state, so that figure is inclusive of the 8.6% sales tax that is applied to the base monthly payment.

This vehicle has black interior, pano roof, the black chrome wheels, Tow Group, engine block heater.

Thanks for all replies

What you want is called a "Sign and Drive" lease. I think you will find the sweet spot is a 39 month lease. Chrysler Capital is Chrysler's new financing arm. Check them out as they have some pretty good leasing deals out there. I have a 39 month lease on my loaded 2014 Cherokee Limited ADII at $408 a month in a monthly tax state. The buy out is only $20,000 on a $40,000 sticker. At this point after a year my Jeep has been nearly perfect so I am thinking about doing that.

Wow, you just made me realize how poor I am after working 31 years and earning 3 college degrees. My condo/townhouse cost less then $72,000. Come to think of it I don't think my dealer had any vehicles on his lot that stickered that high when I walked it the other day.

72k for a condo? Try living in New York, 72k can get you a closet

It is a very nice condo/townshouse with a private attached garage and full basement, next to a pond with fountain and waterfall. I live only a few miles from Chrysler's World Headquarters. It is definitely a professional development. Mostly executives from the auto industry and professionals from the nearby medical center.

For sure, when I got mine in April I fully intended to lease as I've always leased cars, the lease programs were so horrible I ended up doing a finance.

Depends on a few things. The sticker price of the vehicle and your credit rating to begin with. I am leasing my loaded 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited ADII with a $40,000 sticker and no money or trade down for $408 a month (includes all taxes and fees) on a 39 month lease at 10,000 miles a year. So just for kicks double that and it comes out to an $80,000 sticker and $916 a month lease. Yes, I know the residual is part of this too. Still under a $1,000 with 0 down. Chrysler Capital is making some fantastic deals right now even if you have sub prime credit.

i know for a fact that although your math sounds reasonable, it doesn't work that way when the lease is written out. i wish it was as easy as doubling the payment per month......
