Re: Left Lane News review

Good find, thanks! Was looking for more black pics!!

It's nice to see them confirming these kinds of comments!

When it comes to performance, however, you’d better step past those mommy-mobiles and start considering heavy iron like the X5M and Porsche Cayenne Turbo. While those two six-figure bombers will give the SRT8 a fight in a straight line, we aren’t sure they will be close on a racetrack.
This is also AWESOME to hear!

Get over the sheer terror of having your head six feet off the ground when cranking .90g’s through Willow’s long, flat Turn Two, and it’s amazing what the Grand Cherokee can accomplish. The lap times were good enough to race in several NASA production-based classes, and it wasn’t just the 6.4-liter HEMI making the bacon. This truck stops, turns, and responds in a fashion that is utterly world-class.
This pic confirms the revised hitch cover which has the SRT logo embossed into it!

Re: Left Lane News review

That was a positive review. I like.

Still hate the price though.

Re: Left Lane News review

I wasn't sure, until now, that they kept the autostick feature on the shifter as well as steering wheel paddles.
I understand when I should have 2 hands on the wheel and when I don't need both. For those times, I like to shift with my right and steer with my left. (So maybe I miss the 3rd pedal)

So on the new Wk2 SRT they have both the paddle shifters and the auto stick in the center also? Or just the paddle shifters?

Re: Left Lane News review

Quote:
The Jeep’s five speed automatic transmission shifts quickly and smoothly. Also included is a manual mode, where one can shift with the gearlever using a side-to-side action, or, better yet, via the dainty, steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Either way, with all the horsepower and torque, we never were able to find ourselves in the wrong gear, wanting for more thrust. Usually, we’d like a box with at least six gears for this sort of fare, but this setup never left us hanging.
Per this reviewer who was at Willow Springs last Thursday.
