Got my 22's installed today......not liking the 305-40 tires. I can't drop it sub the eibachs if I stay with them. So i ordered the 295-35-22

Re: Lets discuss 22" tires....

The 305's were plus sizing you an inch in diameter and the 295' will drop the stock OD around 3/8" . Were you rubbing on the inside when turned or just too tall? 305/35 would keep the speedo happy, not saying anyone makes that size though. Those gloss really compliment the flow and color. Looks killer.

Re: Lets discuss 22" tires....

no rubbing...but I wanna drop it on eibachs and cant with these. I want a lower profile than stock as well. There are no tires in 305-35 except for summer vreds. All the tire shops are recommending 285-40 and 285-35....even tirerack and discount tire.

Re: Lets discuss 22" tires....

Scott...if I understand you correctly, there were no problems related to running the 305/40's other than with the Lowering Kit?? Am I correct to assume that my Overland won't have any issues with that size in the Coopers, even with the QL??

Also, can you please post some side pics showing how they sit on the rims, as well as line up with the fenders (if you haven't unmounted them yet)?? Your rims are 22x11", right?...or were they 22x10"??

The look I'm going for is a wide stance to be between that of WebSpoke's 285/50's and 4thCherokee's 285/60's with regard to tires sticking out of fenders, while retaining handling & some off-road ability (no rocks, or deep mud for me...not in FL, lol!)

Gotta a lot of mods planned, but gonna take awhile, in the planning stages right now. When I do a build, I stock the parts & complete it all at once...overnight transformation, ya know?!

Thanks!

No problems on my SRT. Cant say for sure on your overland. The rims are 22x10 and the tires sit flush and the wheels/tires sit flush just like the stock 20x10's.

Re: Lets discuss 22" tires....

Scott,

where did you get those 22" WK1 replicas? Also, did they come in black or did you have them powder-coated/painted after you got them?

I got them from chad @ blackops here on the forums and they are available in 22x9, 20x9, 20x10 and 22x10 in grey, satin black, gloss black, chrome and I think polished.

Re: Lets discuss 22" tires....

I have the 295 40 r 22 toyo proxes 2 and really love the tread and stance. I opted for bigger tires because i do long roadtrips and wanted a smoother ride
