Often Countries in the distribution classify the SRT Series as "Special Use Vehicles" and have restrictions on those vehicles. So specifically in Canada the SRT is regarded as Specialty Class II and has a MSRP Surcharge of $1425.00 on it. In comparison to say the Diesel which only has a MSRP Surcharge of $200.00.
Many countries have their own rules on how all this stuff works and is controlled locally. Another good example is Jeep Australia. They are a separate entity as well and those Aussie's on the forum will agree that they have a whole different set of rules about everything from warranty to what oil you are allowed to use.
Right or Wrong, this is how Global Car companies operate. You will get a different ownership experience based on the country you live in... Good or Bad.
