So what's your solution to the problem. Just say it on here that you have unfavorable dealership experiences and screw the brand? I would make every attempt I could to report good or bad experiences so they can be corrected.

Can't just say it's bad and not tell anyone. If you like the vehicle so much why not help them get better in other areas?

I too really dislike dealers. My srt experience has been bad. Love it though. Recently got a rubicon too. Love it too. Hate dealer service....

It is too bad....loved the service at infiniti and volvo prior

I know exactly what your buddy has gone through with the rattling of the exhaust. I had that same noise. My Jeep was new as well.

We got it up on the lift and saw that the exhaust was resting on this support bracket.




And of course when you step on it, the engine from the torque is moving and causing the exhaust to bang up and down on the support bracket.

There was some kind of defect on the exhaust, so a new catback was ordered and to stop the annoying rattle in the mean time, the bracket was taken off.





My friend is an SRT tech so I go to him and trust him.

But I hear ya on the dealers. They blow for the most part.

I had them replace the stock catback but a month later I got a corsa.

Yeah, they agreed to install my buddy's Borla since they had to pull it anyway. When he came in for his appointment that the sales manager had set up with a loaner, they had no loaner for him. When he asked how he was supposed to get to work, they told him to call a taxi.


Of course after he picked it up and drove 15 miles away the noise started again.


Came in the next day, no loaner again. Told him it would take 20 minutes to adjust it, then made him wait 3 hours in the waiting room. No apology, in fact they were irritated with him.

Not worth buying a warranty through them dealers. Then you are stuck with them forever at their mercy. Buyer beware.

I had the same type of exhaust rattle but it was by the firewall, i took it in and the dealer was very busy that day and the service rep wasn't there that day and when the rep asked what was wrong,i said a rattle and he looked at me kind of disgusted but when i said a $75000 vehicle should sing to me he took it in. As i sat there i saw 2 kids take it for a ride with the windows open and their heads hanging out and when they came back one asked if i would go with and identify the noise. The first thing i told him to do was close the windows, then he heard it.I was out of there in an hour. I have had very good service from my dealer and my regular service rep and he doesn't try to sell me things that i don't need, so i continue to go there.

The hood has a crease and was repainted, all the fascia parts below the hood were sloppily replaced, one fender is grossly misaligned, the wheel arch is now falling off, and there is an indent in the condenser where the horn was pushed into it. When starting cold it sounds like the fan blades are whacking something hard for about 20 seconds.



I'm going to start a separate, dedicated thread for this story in the WK2 section with all the details and ongoing updates. I truly hoped Jeep would have immediately stepped in to intervene and prevent the bad publicity this dealership's behavior will cause them.
