Lower Air intake chrome ring removal

Can anyone provide a bit more insight into the lower air intake chrome ring removal process. Do they just pop out with a trim stick or do you have to remove the entire lower front bumper to reach them from the back? I tried doing many searches and I can't find any details. Thanks.

Trim stick the edge and the pop right out just be careful not to crack them.

Re: Lower Air intake chrome ring removal

Def had no luck pulling off any of the front chrome rings. I can't seem to get any piece to pop off like the the '13 fronts. I'm taking the truck into the shop next week to have many things done so they're just going to remove the front bumper and do everything at one. Not too thrilled to have them remove the front bumper but it seems like the best bet.

Re: Lower Air intake chrome ring removal

you need the real thin trim stick with the U cutout. Slip it under the side closest to the grill first...there are two clips holding it there....then work around to the bottom. Put some painters tapoe around the rings to keep from buggering up the paint
