Yes...I have a beach house a few blocks from the ocean. I've only had it on for a lil over 2 months now. You should sell them clear coated at least to protect from the elements not matter where anyone lives.

stainless steel doesnt need a clear coat from the elements... That is why you use stainless.... Stainless is an "outdoors metal" meant to be in all different scenarios. Of course you can paint them if you want but 304 stainless steel doesnt rust. However....when in a high salt content area... Ie the beach you have to use type 316 stainless. This is a metal that is used in alot of oil rig platforms that we do for out at sea.... I didnt make the badges in 316 stainless because these badges are already expensive enough and type 316 stainless is even more expensive. But the rust is simple. Take the badge off... Get some scotchbrite... Some wd40...spray it down and rub in left to right direction... Rust will come right off

I think a PM would have been more appropriate than posting it here.

His stuff is too notch, I've had mine on for a couple months now and looks like day 1, although I do routinely put a coat of wax on mine.

thanks for backing me up! i appreciate that... its cool that he posted it here... there may be other that live in a high salt content area... pretty much near a beach and when i say near i mean like walking distance.... the rust will occur but its a surface rust... some WD40 and a ScotchBrite Pad will take it right off keeping the same look.

Re: Lower grille SRT badge ordering

Boz, how many are you getting shipped to you? I had approx. 8 various ones sent to me (only 1 was mine the other 7 were for other members) which cost $120. We all just shared the cost and it worked out fairly priced. Postage to us from the US sucks, even more so for you WA guys.

ya yours worked out awesome...it was one of this "if it fits it ships boxes" and worked out great... he is ordering one grille badge. i do the faster shipping method and i pay for tracking so i know where they are... im sorry if shipping prices are high for some people but it is what it is. but i have another order going out to Australia this week and i am going to go to the post office and see what its costing alot of money... i have to be doing something wrong. have to be!

Re: Lower grille SRT badge ordering

Unfortunately Dom anything going to WA (Western Australia) always cost more and takes longer than to the East Coast of Australia (such as Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne).

There must be a better/cheaper way though as I got 5 CLS wiring harnesses delivered to the same address you sent the badges to and it only cost $25USD. On the CLS box it has USPS Priority Mail Commercial Base Pricing and it was in a "Medium Flat Rate Box". (although it only weighed 4lb according to the sticker). Would probably help if you quoted the value of the item a bit less too.
