Maybe not worst, but definitely a nightmare

Storm rolled through Denver today. Sustained some hail damage while parked at the office. Dents don't look horrible but they're there. Window trim has to be replaced, and apparently the right rear window does as well as it appears you can't just replace that trim. $2000 for dents. Will find out the cost of trim and window in the next couple of days. Could be worse.

Re: Maybe not worst, but definitely a nightmare

We got some hail in Michigan last night and I moved my Jeepy in the garage right before it started coming down.... BOOM. Lucky I guess, I never leave it outside but I was prepping for my camping trip so i needed garage space so it was out in the driveway. Thank g-d I got her inside!

Re: Maybe not worst, but definitely a nightmare

hope you get her fixed up OP.

I has my roof replaced 2 weeks ago from the hail we had last September over here on the SE side of town. Then Monday I sanded and yesterday morning I refinished my deck that was pulverized last year.....all just in time for last night.

i did get the impact resistant roof this time as I have had 2 prior replacements in less than 10 years.

we didnt have it too bad compared to others but it did have me clean the garage QUICKLY to get the second vehicle under cover.

Stick around, you might today, or worse, your vehicle might end up in Kansas.

Tornado Watch in Colorado

Seriously, if a tornado were to happen in Boulder, would the folks be out with fans and leaf blowers trying to keep it going so they could adopt it as a pet?

[you sorta have to live here to consider just how big a tornado could not get so close to the 14ers]

Re: Maybe not worst, but definitely a nightmare

There might be a few wanting to adopt, but most would organizing a protest at NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research, located in Boulder) declaring that the tornadoes wouldn't have happened if global warming had been heeded, and the polar ice-cap wasn't melting (even if facts say otherwise). Also, CU would take the week off to import more grass for "study sessions" on the tornadoes...

So far just a few light sprinkles here today - nothing heavy at all....

(I grew up in Oklahoma, and this just AIN'T serious tornado weather....)

Re: Maybe not worst, but definitely a nightmare

Denver got hit again today. I was stuck on I-25 doing anything I could do to find cover. Two days in a row getting hit with hail. Today wasn't near as bad and I don't think there is any additional damage.

Got hit with the same storm in Commerce City at the office. 2014 GC with 3k miles. All window trim and majority of the roof and hood are banged up. Do you really have to replace the whole rear side windows?

Yes, isn't that crazy? Most of my damage is the trim. I missed round 3 today thankfully. Total damage thus far is $3000. I've seen much worse.
