1. Looking to novate a lease on a white SRT with Spider Monkey rims and the sunroof / HK audio options.

2. Have any of you experienced any significant issues with your SRT's? If so, how was your experience with Jeep in getting it fixed up?

3. Anyone have any experience with City Chrysler Jeep Dodge here in Melbourne? Went there last weekend and they seemed pretty good.

4. I've not managed to get myself a test drive of an SRT yet, just wondering what your passengers are saying about ride comfort?

Hey there,
Jeep is a great choice!
1. The prices you're getting are in the correct ball park
2. No significant issues. Some minor software type stuff at the start but has been all sorted for quite some months now
3. I bought my rig from Melbourne city and my sales guy was Dan. He's great. The service guys are getting better but I haven't established a proper relationship with them. So far so good though.
4. All my passengers love the bloody thing. Comfortable and luxurious. My wife drives it daily and is so comfortable that she likes to sit in the back when I drive (that may be a reflection of my right foot habits) The ride in auto is very comfortable.
PM me if you need more detail.!
Dean

Thanks for the replies!

Troy, really encouraging you were able to get a fully optioned SRT for $85k on the road. There is hope for me . Do you mind me asking which dealer you got yours through, or did you buy privately? No hassle if you'd rather keep those cards close to your chest .

Dean, I was also dealing through Dan. Seems like a pretty straight shooter and actually into his Jeeps. I told him pretty early on in the piece I would not be buying that day and would be looking to novate. Didn't seem to phase him too much and he continued to give me the grand tour.

We walked down to the Mazda dealer after that just to demonstrate to the wife I was being pragmatic. Different story there. As soon as I told the salesman I was looking to novate he went off and got me a brochure on the CX9, pointed out the tea and coffee to me and walked off. Wasn't even like they were busy as there were twice as many sales people as shoppers. Borderline rude.

Anyway, here is hoping I can make this SRT thing happen

1. Looking to novate a lease on a white SRT with Spider Monkey rims and the sunroof / HK audio options. Two quotes I have so far are for $88k for a 2014 and $92k for a new 2015 model. Does this sound about right? Really looking to get something for around the $80k mark so I have some breathing room, do many ex demo or low km SRT's come up in this range?

I do a decent amount of country miles with its fair share of pot holes. Essentially just wanting to know if the passenger ride comfort while in auto mode is too stiff for B and C grade roads. No matter how loud that 19 speaker HK audio system is, it would not be enough to drown out the wife if she is getting jolted around her seat because the suspension is too rigid.

Really appreciate any advice you can give.

Hi Brashquido,

Got my 14SRT on novated lease through Smartleasing. For memory was around 82k with sunroof and HK audio.
I got mine through Werribee Jeep, as they offered a good price, and where able to deliver the car I wanted 5months earlier than any other dealer.
I have nOW been driving it for over 12 months, and apart from several issues early on, I do love my SRT.

Re: Melbourne SRT Club

Thanks for the tips Blakey. Was that $82k drive away? That is not bad at all with those options. Hopefully I can get something similar, especially with the 2015 model coming in hopefully putting a bit of pressure on to clear the 2014 stock.

Re: Melbourne SRT Club

That was me coming back from a macas run. I herd the beep but didn't see you until it was to late. I just got back from Europe yesterday morning and am feeling pretty jet lagged so I probably won't make it to the meet tomorrow. I'll be at the next one for sure.

Re: Melbourne SRT Club

Cheers mate,
Yeah I blacked out the rims after seeing how good it looked on yours. Surprising how much it changes the look of the beast.
Was good to see a growing number of members at the last meet, wish I could of been there.
