Re: Midwest dealers

The fee from Jeep for Destination is $995. This is a D&H fee of $499. The salesman is claiming it is on all new cars sold in the state of Colorado. Since I've never purchased in that state, I'm not sure if that's the case or not. Sounds a little fishy to me.

Actually, he is telling me that the normal fee is $799 but they "only" charge $499.

Like anything on that sticker, it is negotiable.

Ah sorry. The only destination fee on my window sticker was the $995 from Jeep. [senior moment, please excuse].

You might see a dealer prep fee, but thats supposed to be in the $995.

They would have a copy of the window sticker, you could just innocently ask them to email you a pdf copy.

Those things seem to be selling well in Colorado for obvious reasons, but still dealer gouging by adding in bogus crap tends to make me walk away. I don't mind an honest refusal to discount a hot model, but potentially fake crap just rubs me the wrong way.
YMMV if the overall price is good.

Thanks!
I IM'd you a name at a colorado dealer.
They are in a suburban area north of Denver, and I don't recall seeing any SRTs on their lot--not their market, but it never hurts to call and ask.

Good luck in your quest... wish the SRT was more trail capable....I'd love one myself.

Re: Midwest dealers

Does anybody have a picture of a Max Steel with carbon satin wheels? I'm trying to decide on color and wheel. I know I don't want the black chrome. I'm leaning towards Max Steel for the exterior. The deep cherry looks great on the website but it looks a little washed out in some of the pictures I've seen. Ultimately, I'll need to look at some in person to really decide.

I've got a couple of dealerships working on numbers right now. So far the best deal I've found is invoice, but they were about $4000 low on my trade

I couldn't decide between black max steel and granite. Was 95% set on max steel and then a clean black one pulled into the lot and i changed my order immediately. I know I'm going to regret it when it is not clean but just loaded up on detailing supplies to keep that time to a minimum.

I have the deep cherry on an Overland with the light frost interior.
I suspect it would look bitchin with the sepia interior... however to be honest
it just doesn't seem bad*ss enough for an SRT, although your wife might love it.

It tends to look somewhat flat and dark unless you are on the sun side and the sun is reflecting off the paint in which case you can see the metalfleck nicely.

I like the darker ones meself, but am married, and had to borrow the money from the fashion critic.

A pure white one with the storm trooper look someone posted would look bitchin, although possibly a really dark one could be made to look even more menacing...

For your personalized license plate, perhaps "C YA"

Re: Midwest dealers

Quick question that I hope somebody knows the answer to. I am working on closing a deal but the dealership is going to have to order the SRT I am wanting. Does anybody know when the next allocation opens up for ordered vehicles? Another dealership told me January... this one can't give me an answer.

The reason it matters is the trade-in value they've put on my current vehicle is only good for 60 days. I'm not in any hurry to order. In fact, I'd rather order in January, but I understand it matters on the allocations.

Any ideas on when the next run is?

Thanks.
