What do you all think about this? My understanding is that it was not previously offered to SRT vehicles, but now it is. I was thinking about going with the 100 deductible, which will cost around 3k.
Thanks in advance for your time!
Previously lifetime protection was not available for the SRT.
-If you're going to keep it beyond 3 years/36,000 miles get the warranty from one of the online Mopar Service Contract sellers. The dealers typically charge ripoff prices, and you can also avoid state sales tax by buying the contract out of state. **the contract is the same regardless of where you purchase it, you are not required to buy it from the same dealer you bought the vehicle from**
-If you're going to keep it for 7 years/100,000 miles or less, get the transferable 7 year maxcare. (approx. $2000). A used car with a comprehensive warranty will have a higher resale value.
-If you're going to keep it longer than that, get the lifetime. (approx. $2300), which is not transferable, however.
-Get the Wheel and Tire protection. 7 years for approx. $300. If you have Spider Monkey Black Vapour Chrome wheels, for instance, they're $1500 each+$400 Pirelli+$100 TPMS sensor+$75 Road Force Balancing EACH.
The warranty is entered into Chrysler's computers, and you can get service at any dealer in the US, Canada, or Mexico. It comes with a number of other miscellaneous benefits like towing. 1st day of service rental car, lost key fob coverage with no deductible etc.
I've used the Mopar service contracts for years with no issues whatsoever. Tens of thousands in repairs. Everything, including a destroyed tire and wheel were covered without question.
Hurry up before the bean counters at FCA realize they shouldn't be covering SRT's for $2300....
