Re: More speculation about a possible Durango SRT8

If only the new Durango was a foot shorter.... I still think they're nice, and if they made it in an SRT8 model I would think it would be priced less than the SRT8 WK2, a more affordable SRT SUV.

I just think it's too big to make any decent performance numbers. The Jeep will always win.

Re: More speculation about a possible Durango SRT8

My $.02... I have always loved the look of the Durango. I have said since this generation came out that it looks awesome in the rt. I think that it would make a fine srt. I would hope that it would not be crazy expensive like the new jeeps are. I would most definitely be game for one. I mean there have been many calibers of srt vehicles, neon, crossfire, magnum, charger, challenger....etc..

Who cares if it is not crazy fast due to the weight.

I would be willing to bet that the durango SRT would sell better than the Jeep. (If they keep the price reasonable)

Eventually the only people that will be able to afford the SRT vehicles will be uber rich guys. I am sure there may be a few of them here...I for one am not one of them.LOL!!

Sorry to sound poor, but I just am getting frustrated that most of the fun vehicles for the average guy are being pushed wayyyyyyy to a price point outside of my league.

Re: More speculation about a possible Durango SRT8

Why do they have a jeep srt8?

The Durango is only 10" longer than the jeep, and within a couple hundred pounds. The JGC hits 60 mph in about 4 seconds... The Durango wouldn't be far off.

I think the durango makes as much, or more sense... But it wouldn't command the same price. Hence, if there is any thought of a halo grand wagoneer, they really can't give us a durango.
