Re: ***Motor Trend Jeep SRT8 Test Video***

Cheers to that.
Marlin, we'll be sure to video for you down under.
And hopefully Stage 6 will be the first ones to put some Turbo's on the WK2 after cracking the code.

Well you'll need to video the beer session as well, otherwise I'll feel left out! haha

Re: ***Motor Trend Jeep SRT8 Test Video***

On a full course track it is not always about HP.......

Bring on the HP Goliaths at Lime Rock, Watkins Glen or Summit Point, and my WK2 will be David......

All right guys..... I know some gen. 1 guys have had negative comments, but from my perspective MOST gen. 1 one guys on this forum really dig the new model. Me being one. What I have stated was it has fart shifts, I also hoped it would be faster, also like those who can afford it or not I think the price SUCKS!!! Every single last thing besides my three dislikes I LOVE! I even like the wheels, I think I'm the only one who does..... that being said let's not lump ALL of us gen. 1 owners into the dislike group when clearly on this forum, gen. 1 owners who like it are at a clear numerical superiority. After all, I'm not slamming the road racing crowd for slamming the drag racing crowd......

Ok..... I give up. You'll win. We can do a Le Mans start how about that? I'll let you run me down. I'm pretty sure though that our Jeeps being lowered, upgraded sway bars, upgraded end links, and adjustable rear shocks can hold it's own vs. your WK2 though.

Keep in mind though that the WK1 Jeep is the second best handling SRT vehicle behind the Viper. Keep in mind that the salom speed of the WK1 was 63.9mph and pulled .9 G's according to Insideline. It's not like the new WK2 is this night and day difference. Yes it supposedly handles better but would love to see an actual comparo of the two at a track vs. each other.

Re: ***Motor Trend Jeep SRT8 Test Video***

The increase in suspension sophistication in the WK2 platform will make a massive difference in the real world, both to outright ability and livability, of that I have no doubt.

I'm sure it will ride much better...... It's not like it's gonna corner 20mph. faster though.

I, in my WK2 have really nothing to lose......

BUT...... it would be nice to see how many seconds on a race track all the fancy mods buy the "mod addict"........

I am pretty sure it will be more than a $1000/sec.

Re: ***Motor Trend Jeep SRT8 Test Video***

I will comment in here about the video in the original post. I personally like the review on inside line that actually compares 2 vehicles next to each other. I am curious to see what the other vehicles would have done numbers wise when Motor Trend did their review.

Its nice to have an improved interior and all but the added price and the same/similar performance numbers doesn't justify an extra $25,000(inc. TTL) to what I paid for mine.
