very simple, if it is worthed to you buy it, if it is not then there is need to preach here about how much of a rip off it is.......

Good day.....
So your saying as a Porsche owner the lower price was a reason that you didn't get a WK SRT8? I guess Chrysler had Porsche owners like you in mind when they raised the base price 12k over the previous SRT8.

What I am saying is that WK1 was not worth to me

with the lower interior quality and its rough body style and lack of towing capability, even if it were 12K lower.......

which BTW at the below invoice that I am getting the WK2, I doubt is 12K.....

There are a lots of guys who have posted on this site that were excited about getting a JGC Srt who had a budget for it based on the estimated price. Now Jeep has blown them away with the big price increase.

That really sucks, It's going to be a great ride I wish that everyone who could appreciate it could have one. If that is what you are saying then we are in total agreement.

There isn't one because its a niche market. That doesn't mean its a good value though

If you want a good value, don't buy a new car. Whatever kind it is your ass is going to be handed to you as soon as you leave the dealers lot.

Yes, that's basically it. Of course, the "estimated" price should have been spot on based on everything that has happened so far in the history of SRT. Like you said, Jeep blew us away with the new price.

What if you paid $41K ordered the way you want, which was fully loaded?
That's $14K cheaper. (34%) That is the big complaint. That is a drastic jump in price on any scale of any car ever made year over year.
If Jeep has been making $60K cars/SUV's for some time, they would have something to back this cost up, but the most expensive vehicle they had last year topped out at $49,250.

And if you stop voicing a complaint about something, there is no chance it will change. Is it really a bad thing that we ask for a better price, when MFR are dropping prices EVERYWHERE? I don't think we're asking alot. Just 5K - 8K. That is a more realistic and justifiable cost increase.

I just realized the horse is dead, sorry for beating the poor thing again.

Sorry

And the saga continues muahahahaha! I love these threads. Not cause I think anyone is wrong or right or I'm in one group or another, but just to see everyones wide spread feelings/thoughts on the subject.

Its awesome and I bet the marketing team that visits the site daily agrees! Keep it coming Cant wait to see one "out in public" and how the opinions change . . . if at all

So there are trolls in this forum too eh? Good info to have!

Anyway, the truck is badass and even though alot of us draw a line at what something is worth, I have no doubt that Chrysler will sell all 1500 of these quick. (If that number is correct for the first run)

IMO that's why they're not holding anyone to a non-refundable deposit on any of the 2012 srts.

My dealer is refusing to refund my $2000 so I know personally your statement is incorrect.

Damn first I've heard of that. That really sucks. Buddy of mine is in an srt group here and told me his dealer told him it was going to be a corp thing that deposits weren't going to be nonrefundable on these vehicles due to the price hike. My dealer refunded mine and my wife's no questions so I assumed he was right. Crappy thing is, if they don't sell it to you they'll sell it to the next guy.
