My dealer refunded mine and my wife's no questions so I assumed he was right. Crappy thing is, if they don't sell it to you they'll sell it to the next guy.

Chrysler Corp has no say in the order deposit thing, it's entirely between you and your dealer. Dealers are independent businesses, Chrysler cannot dictate their order/deposit policy.. A lot depends on your state as well as anything you may have signed. If you signed a buyers order and it spelled out Non-Refundable AND your state allows such a practice (Florida doesn't, to my knowledge) then you got what you agreed to.

IMHO anyone who placed a non-refundable deposit on a car without knowing the price sort of deserves what they get......

Gotcha. Thanks for the info. Guess that's what I get for assuming. Regardless it sucks for those people though.

Here's an idea. Buy the Jeep at invoice and sell it at MSRP on eBay.

Re: MSRP released!

Sorry, but anyone willing to pay this price for this vehicle, knowing that Chrysler is ripping you off (especially considering the Canadian pricing on all the entire GC line up) is DUMB. Plain and simple.

I look forward to buying your slightly used 2year old model for a drastically reduced price.

Thank you

No hater here chief. Read my posts, I owned the 06 brand new. Then it was a reasonable price, now you are being gouged and I will gladly take your slightly used model for a major hit on your end. Let me know when you are ready to sell in two years

Re: MSRP released!

I would have a very hard time buying an SRT8 used as I am guessing most, if not all, owners put a lot of wear and tear on these vehicles.

Re: MSRP released!

Until they roll off the line Jeep can still change the price. With the stock market crash maybe they will rethink the price. Ok maybe I'm dreaming.

Re: MSRP released!

There are not going to be any virgin used WK2 SRT8 after two years, period......

If buying used be careful, I am sure those 2 year old SRT8 have been taken to a track (full course or 1/4 mile) once or twice, if not more, and I am being very conservative......

You may save money, but they probably have been rode hard and won't be pristine.....

On that note I am planning to sell mine in 3 yrs. to get the 8-speed, so if anyone is interested in a "lightly" used WK2 SRT8, keep me in mind.......
