And sure you can help make your Corvette engine, so long as you pay the $5800 fee.
Not true - they will waive the fee and you can even bring your buddy along to help. Bowling Green is a nice place.

That link does not prove anything in regards to being able to see your CTS-V wagon being built and starting it yourself. Not to mention, Les Stanford is a HUGE dealer who probably has a bit of pull for some customers here or there. There is absolutely no general option open to anyone in the public buying to go see your CTS-V built. Not to mention, I've been on that CTS-V forum for a while and have never seen "all the other folks that have done it."

Really? They just waive a $5800 fee like that and let you come to Bowling Green to slap an engine together? That's great.....the fee's probably waived though because when you get there you will realize the experience is only for LS7's and LS9's and those engines are built in Wixom, MI

Re: Must see video...2012 Jeep SRT8...BORN in Detroit!

FANTASTIC Video. I wish that I could go see mine be made. I'm a long time BMW owner and am very familiar w/ their European Delivery program... this is right here, in the good ole USA. I would take a week off from work just to go watch and experience the "birth" of my SRT.

I'm disappointing that it's not an option... it would have truly topped off the excellent experience that I have already had. Nothing says pride like American craftsmanship and this video proves it.

I've owned a V car for the past 7 years (2 CTS-Vs, 1 STS-V) and have posted on the Cadillacowners forum that entire time. Not once did I ever hear of anyone going to the assembly plant and being able to start their car for the first time, wagon or other. I also agree that thread proves nothing other than one user got invited to the plant to watch his car go down the line, nothing more than that.

That being said, an option to come to the plant for each owner could prove costly for the manufacturer if enough people decided to do it, thus the Corvette charge to help build.

Excellent video! Brought tears to my eyes of American Pride. I wish all Americans bought American. I know I do. SRT group makes premium products. I love my SRT Challenger 392 (wish it was assembled here) and plan on owning an SRT Jeep someday too!

I guess that makes two of you that are wrong...all you have to do is ask your salesman to call the plant - here is another thread..

First time I've ever seen that, I stand corrected. I wonder how many have actually done that.
