Re: Must see video...2012 Jeep SRT8...BORN in Detroit!

I have two buddies that are die hard chevy guys - one got his caddy, the new(at the time) cts-v-coupe and the other a vette. The vette guy went to wixom to see the engine made and then made some calls to go to bowling green...he never said it was an act of god or anything and I was at bowling green with him - they had is setup of rmultiple folks.

As far as Caddy - when I talke with the salesman - he had never heard of either, a quick call to caddy customer service and low and behold you can def get it done.

Re: Must see video...2012 Jeep SRT8...BORN in Detroit!

I could have purchased just about any SUV on the market both domestic or import. I made the decision to buy USA this time around to support the move to buy American products that support local jobs. Its amazing how much the political climate has changed my mindset these days.

We don't make anything HERE anymore with the exception of cars. I'm proud to see Americans pumping out quality product that we're now seeing Europeans wanting! If we continue to care, we can turn the tables and start making cool stuff that other countries want to buy! I think this video does a great job showing our level of caring.

BTW, if we didnt make a quality product I would have probably passed on buying a Jeep SRT8. However, I looked hard at what was out there and this SUV is absolutely in the same league as BMW or Land Rover (I've owned 2 Range Rover Sports and 2 BMW M3's). The one exception is cabin design. If we can just up the quality and esthetics a bit there, we can kick some serious ass in the auto market.
