Re: My GC SRT14 vs. 2014 BMW X5

It looks like everything I posted about the SRT falling short has come to roost. In a way, it a good thing the little X5 in grocery getter trim takes the modded SRT at the end of the quarter. Hopefully when the SRT heads catch wind of this they will be embarrassed and have to step up not just to compete, but to win.

Get the Bwoody man way better CAI. But after 1/4 mile and the turbos in the Bimmer kick in its gonna fly by us. But like scott said who races for more then a 1/4 mile anyway. lol.. Turbo VS non-turbo isn't a fair fight anyway..

We cant say turbo vs NA is not fair fight cuz those are the competitor in the market otherwise to whom will you benchmark your car ? So i think SRT engineers should think in different way like what they have done on the callu and charger bu placing the SC hellcat , this is the way forward

I understand what u mean by it being the competitor and there should always be a benchmark to compare your car too. But That 4.4L engine is a piece of $hit without those turbos.. So I still think it's an unfair fight.. Now if we get the hellcat in a Jeep then we can say get on the line n wait for the light to turn green..

LOL......it's a fair fight, the SRT can't always be top dog. I mean think about it, they could counter by saying "you have 2L more of displacement". Turbo engines are all the buzz right now from almost every manufacturer, can't say it's not a fair fight the HP ratings are similar and the displacement is less than ours. Sometimes you just lose.....

Plus, that 4.4 is probably underrated........BMW engines typically tend to be.

There's a lot more to a vehicle than its 1/4 mile time...

Been wondering about the comment regarding low humidity as well, given that water injection has been used for a long time for a power boost. Even the Oldsmobile had it.

Just throwing it out there..
Actually the Bema win if that was a 1/4mile races start at (4secs) Bema ahead of jeep at 16secs. This is based if both Bmw/Jeep are stock...

Race starts at 4 secs, at 16sec bmw pass it thats 12secs later, stock srt does 1/4mile in 13.5-13.8secs

BMW stock has 13.1 1/4 mile time, Tho end of the day that BMW is built in America lol.
The reason i bought a jeep was I wanted change in my pocket, I hate the euro car with there grandpa/classic dial layout.... boring. And the sound that the 6.4L produces compared to the other euro V8 makes them look like kittens....
