My review of the Bwoody 4" CAI "Ram Air"...Before and after 0-60 times

Just had it installed yesterday. The throttle response is AMAZING. No lag at all when you stomp on the throttle. Instant feedback. The sound is great too. Deep and throaty. STanding outside of the car you can really here it sucking in the air. At WOT you can really hear it scream in a good way. The insulation on the WK@ is amazing but you can still hear this bad boy sucking in the air. I've also noticed the engine so far is constantly running cold. the needle hardly moves near the hot range. So far according to the EVIC I'm getting roughly about 1.5mpg better than before install. Can't wait to add Borla ATAK to the mix and really see how it sounds. I was a little apprehensive about getting the Bwoody for price alone. After the dry charger and other options it ran close to $500. And I opted to get rid of the washer tank all together. Never really used it anyways before. Who wants a mess of blue fluid all over their pristine truck?! But I'm very happy I went with it. The truck really responds and pulls HARD at any speed or in any gear. I put it in track mode and was blown away by the engine response. I would say that when in AUTO mode it feels like it did in SPORT mode without the intake. Auto mode has incredible shifting and response. I will say I've noticed the truck shifts harder with the CAI. Not in a bad way AT ALL. Its a great "kick" to know the Hemi is saying "yeah man I know you want me to go all out right now. Sit back and relax". Haha. And yes for the record my car talks to me. To wrap up I'm very impressed with it and it was well worth the price. As far as the install, my buddy who is great with cars came over and we were going to install ourselves. I didn't have a rivet gun so I decided to take it to a speed shop here in suburban Chicago. They charged me only $55 and they installed it in about 50 minutes. I'm just not too handy with working on it myself so I figuered I'd let the experts do it. I've got a dyno appointment tomorrow evening to see about after install gains. They claim up to 16hp gained to the wheels. The dyno wont lie! If anyone has any questions feel free to ask! By the way, its warm here in Chicago. After install I did 3 pulls 0-60mph. I would say outside temp was 83 and VERY humid. I did 2 runs in track mode and 1 last run in sport mode. Truck was cold and sitting in my garage for 3 hours with no activity before doing runs. Below are the results. Keep in mind the best 0-60 before Bwoody install I ran was 4.5. That was in ideal conditions during spring time when it was about 62 degrees out. I also have the Pirelli scorpion verde run flats tires if that matters.

1st 0-60 pull in "track mode": 4.5 (used paddle shifters)
2nd 0-60 pull in "track mode": 4.3(no paddle shifters)
3rd 0-60 pull in "Sport mode": 4.4 (no paddle shifters)

I was VERY excited to see the 2nd run come out at 4.3. However apparently I was redlining it way too far in paddle shifter mode haha. I was very suprised to see how big of a difference the CAI has made with throttle response. There were plenty of times before it was installed I'd run a 4.7-4.9. Maybe it's the placebo affect but it seems like the Bwoody really lets this 6.4 liter breathe! I will post up DYNO results later in the week after I get it done tomorrow.

Man this is a great review. Bwoody is the most expensive yet it is the best CAI.
I think this will be my CAI when I get my SRT soon
BTW, when you got rid of the washer tank, do you mean to windscreen washer tank?

Nope. The windshield fluid tank. Bwoody makes a replacement one that is much smaller but I actually wax my windows which works a million times better than rain x. So I don't have a windshield fluid tank. Only issue is it always shows low fluid on the dash but its fine. I'm sure I can pull a fuse or sensor later to make that go away.
