Re: Need 20 questions for SRT engineers

Why is the reduction in 0-60 times with the addition of both the 8 speed transmission and launch control being specifically referred to as "slight" when LX cars have seen reductions of half a second in both 0-60 and 1/4 mile with only the 8 speed (and not also launch control)? Will the SRT Jeep see similar reductions in 0-60 with the 8 speed and launch control?

or; what is the gearing of the 8 speed in the SRT? If no different than the 8 speed attached to the 5.7l, why?

Re: Need 20 questions for SRT engineers

Not sure if this is the type of question you are looking for hear, but let's try it.

I am looking for an update on the Uconnect Access via mobile. If I order tomorrow, can this be added later? Not sure how this is enabled. Is it just a software update at a later date? I really want to order, but I do not want to miss this feature.

thanks

And, can you also ask about Canada. An earlier post suggested that Uconnect Access would not be available at all for Canada. Please find out if the Canadian electronics are the same as the US electronics. I'm sure we could make it work if the electronics were identical.

Re: Need 20 questions for SRT engineers

If you run out of questions I would be interested in the explanation for the following question - Noticed that they raised the towing capacity by 2,200 pounds, was this all due to the transmission changes or are there any other changes that could be retrofitted back to the 12/13 model year that would allow going past the current 5,000 lb. limit?

Re: Need 20 questions for SRT engineers

Will owners of the 2012-2013 SRT8 vehicles be able to get the enhancements to the "track mode" with more torque being biased towards the rear axle? Was it just a software change?

Re: Need 20 questions for SRT engineers

Can they do a upgrade so you can leave the ride mode (i.e. track, sport) in that function without having to reset it everytime you get into vehicle. Also, my 2012 had a very bad push going into a curve in traffic until I switched to the Eibach's springs which eliminated the push. Maybe they should offer a spring upgrade package that also lowers it for those of us not going to be towing anything. Finally, how about offering 22" factory wheels as an option. I would rather pay for the upgrades from the factory than to have to dispose of and replace what comes with it.

Re: Need 20 questions for SRT engineers

I would be interested in a breakdown of what is all available on the 7" screen in the dash? If this is already out I apologize.

IMO, I think it would be better to ask if we can order it with 4 steelies and a $2000 credit to purchase our own wheels. By the past wheels, and the looks of the new wheels on the SRT and other models....they must have lost the WK1 designer to another job. They just can't get it right, let's not waste anymore of their time trying.

I know this is a cosmetic question, but here goes ... Can we get an all black leather and suede interior (like the sepia, but in all black). That would be the blend of sportiness and luxury for me.
