Question Need Help. WHERE DID YOU GO to get your Springs Installed???

I am stuck.. I tried to do it myself, and that was not going to happen. After pulling off the front wheel and getting all those bolts off and still the strut was stuck up there, I decided to put it back and go down the street to Pep Boys. They said they did not want to mess with it. Then I called my dodge dealer and he wants 700.00 hard earned dollars for the work..

Where did you guys go? Does anybody recommend a place in orlando??

My advice- never let pep boys touch these rigs. I got mine installed for 150 but i knew the mechanic pretty well.

700 seems a bit expensive. I would think 300-400 is a affair install price.

I had my Eibach's installed at Belle Tire (Michigan shop) - took 2 hours and they did the alignment afterwards - cost me $250

Paid 850 for 5 hours on the springs plus 1.5 hours on alignment machine and and oil chnage at the stealership. But I felt in good hands so I am not complaining.

Agree. Out of curiosity I called a random shop and they quoted me an over the phone price of $500 - $600. I started asking questions and we finally got down to the scary comments like, "we never did one before", "we'll figure it out", etc. No Thanks.

Called my shop friends up and we did it for free in 2 hours.

Hey. I agree. I know some people here are just gear heads and changing springs is like replacing a light bulb. All kidding aside I wouldnt trust many people with the truck if they havent done it before. The way I drive i want to be sure its all put back correctly. By the way my dealership is pretty cool with mods and they did a good job on my truck. I just brought it back just yesterday to do my brake pads and true cut the rotors.
