Need new tires..stock rim. NOT the OEM pirellis. :)

Hey guys. Need new tires real soon. Been running Toyo Proxes II. Meh. It's OEM size but looks a little anorexic in width. I'd like something that looks just as meaty as the pirellis.

Thinking of the hankook Ventus ST RH06.

What experience do you guys have for anything other than the pirellis. Stock rim only.

What's the widest size I could put on without really affecting the diameter and speedo calibration.

Thanks for your input fellas....and ladies.

This is my favorite visualizer

Custom wheels, rim tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com

Plug in specs from your OEM set up on the left, then set it up on the right with your proposed new tires. It will give specs of speedo changes, how many miles per hr. difference, widths, heights, etc.

Then select your tire.

If you look at Tire Rack, it's lists the actual trend width. The Hankook is 9.9". I have the General Grabbers and have been happy with them. They are 10.6" wide.

A word of caution on the Hankook Ventus ST's they are TERRIBLE in the snow - so if you get any in your area - i would avoid them. They are a lot quieter than the OEM Pirelli's though. I 'm getting new tires next week, and I'm trying the Yokohama Parada Spec X's. Hopefully they will be better in the snow.

I put the Paradas on this morning (had the Pzeros before). Haven't had a chance to really try them out but I will say the ride feels softer with the Paradas (makes sense since run flat to non run flats). Tread width is the same at 9.8 so overall I didn't notice much of a change in terms of looks.

Any chance you guys can post a few pics?

If you can, take some looking down the side...front to rear or opposite. Then maybe a little closer at an angle.

Thanks guys

I'm in Atlanta. We do get some snow here now and then. So, Hankooks are no good in light snow eh?

Curious about the Pradas and General too.

Are the Grabbers all season or not? General lists them as all season, but Tire Rack, Americas tire co, does not state that they are.

I have to give you warning.....

I got the yoko's last year and I am getting noise that is driving me maddddddd after about 7000 miles or so I think. I cannot tell for certain but it is either the tires or the hubs are bad.....

I love the ride of the yokos but if it is these tires.....WTF....I cannot do this crap for very much longer.....It is a whirling loud madness.

I had the same issue so I'm on the Generals now and have no complaints.
