They are already saying "Over 600 hp", plus they mention in the videos that they had to upgrade all the dynos and test cells to accommodate the HP the motor produces...

Re: New 2015 Challenger Hellcat

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but the exterior is kind of a let down. It looks pretty plain and with exception to the wheels (which are great), looks an awful lot like the v6 Challenger. The cheap hoop scoops don't help. It just doesn't scream "aggressive" like it should. And I see they kept the cheap looking fake carbon fiber plastic interior pieces.

Take for instance the Mustang GT 500. There is a huge difference from it and the base V6 Mustang. It just looks like a fast car. To me this 2015 Hellcat looks like a V6 Challenger and will get lost in dealers parking lot. Sad.

I could be wrong, but I am guessing that they did the most they could do with the budget they had and sunk most, if not all, into the engine and tranny. Besides that, if they put a huge premium on it, wouldn't it be in the same price point as the new vette? Now if the choice came down to this and the new vette, I would go vette. Just like the styling better, but if the price is like 15k less, I'd go for this.

If you can figure out how to defeat all stability controls on a Hellcat in your area, just wait till the driver stuffs it backwards into an obstacle, and buy the engine as salvage.

Re: New 2015 Challenger Hellcat

Wow this thing is awesome!! I wouldn't mind having one of those....but I would rather all of that cool tech (Hellcat engine, new performance screens, interior) find its way into a 2018 Jeep GC SRT. Even though it would probably be pushing $90k. I'd still buy it.

But way to go Chrysler! New Challenger Hellcat looks like a home run!

Netcar has written ... 485 for SRT version & 600 plus for hellcat. Gotta love the extent of the sepia leather treatment, why couldn't they have done this in the Jeep?
