Re: New 2015 Challenger Hellcat

I am guessing it will be in the high 60's to low 70's... Just a guess though.

Re: New 2015 Challenger Hellcat

The smart move fore SRT is to wait and drop the 6.2SC as the only available engine in the next gen SRT Jeep. They've already announced SRT is primarily with Dodge so I can understand multiple SRT engines for those vehicles, except the Viper of course.

The next Gen Jeep must only have the 6.2L. Otherwise I know their trick: "Look the regular SRT has no price increase it's a great deal, but if you want the SC motor that can actually compete you'll have to pay a $15k premium". No thanks. I'll never pay that kind of coin for a Jeep. I'll also never own a lower tier SRT if there is a better one available. So that puts me a difficult situation. In that scenario I'll pony up the extra dough, jump ship, and get the new 6 series competitor that Mercedes is building, AMG of course.

The whole purpose of the Jeep and Viper has always been bang for your buck. $85k is not bang for your buck. Look what happened to the Viper. They priced it out of its' market. With the prices tanking look at it now. They are really starting to move. However, I'm not worried. The Jeep has tough competition and has been at the back of the pack since the WK2 debuted. The competition is shedding lbs and upping HP. Sub 4 second 0-60 year round is the number it needs. It's a pipe dream but high 11s would be nice as well.

I bet this means we can't get any of the cool stuff (adjustable launch control, SRT pages) through a software update. They will say its not compatible

Re: New 2015 Challenger Hellcat

I'll take mine as an R/T Scat Pack Shaker 392 in B5 Blue with the 6060 of course.

this is the perfect car. no SRT mark ups no SRT bs. i mean it should be sitting on dealer lots waiting to be discounted.

Ok, who is seriously thinking of buying one at this point? I like what I see, looks like a great muscle car, I am considering it.

Re: New 2015 Challenger Hellcat

So, would you guys go for this over the new z06? Similar price point (between $70-$80k) and similar HP ratings.. Although the Hellcat is a monster, the exterior styling is kinda dated. So, for me (not that I have $70-$80k) lying around, I'd be walking into my chevy dealer and getting the z06...
