Re: New 2015 Challenger Hellcat

From what I have read, MSRP is around $71-$77 for the Z06 (I think without the Z07 package).

Man, that vette is just nasty looking...

Re: New 2015 Challenger Hellcat

I am planning my own "refresh" for 2015 - the 2001 Corvette for a 2015 Corvette.

I LOVE the new Challenger design ('dated' works for me) even more so because I used to own a '71 Challenger, so the updates to the fascia really resonate.

1 BIG issue though - the '71 I owned was a convertible. The Corvette I own (and will be replacing with) is a convertible. I don't see a convertible in the Challenger's future, even though Camaro seems to understand the desirability of that.

There's also another factor: I have been a Mopar fan forever - flogging many 440s and 383s and 340s (even 6000 rpm 225s, with the marine cams and kits) for many years. They have always had a limitation that the Corvette overcomes in spades - the Mopars are straight-line only, whereas the Corvettes will actually turn at speed. Will we also see the return of the AAR or T/A Challenger? I think unlikely.

So, for roughly equivalent $$, and as much as I admire and respect what is happening with Challenger, it appears the planned refresh will still be a 2015 Corvette convertible.....

Re: New 2015 Challenger Hellcat

Any ideas on whether or not the rest of the 6.4 SRTs will see the power bump to 485 hp?

The new Z06 will be over 100k easy.
