If you can figure out how to defeat all stability controls on a Hellcat in your area, just wait till the driver stuffs it backwards into an obstacle, and buy the engine as salvage.
Its weird that they kinda took that technology from the Bugatti Veyron.
For top speed mode the driver must, while stationary, toggle a special top speed key to the left of the driver's seat. A checklist then establishes whether the car and its driver are ready to attempt to reach 407 km/h (253 mph). If so, the rear spoiler retracts, the front air diffusers shut, and normal 12.5 cm (4.9 in) ground clearance drops to 6.5 cm (2.6 in).
They are already saying "Over 600 hp", plus they mention in the videos that they had to upgrade all the dynos and test cells to accommodate the HP the motor produces...
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but the exterior is kind of a let down. It looks pretty plain and with exception to the wheels (which are great), looks an awful lot like the v6 Challenger. The cheap hoop scoops don't help. It just doesn't scream "aggressive" like it should. And I see they kept the cheap looking fake carbon fiber plastic interior pieces.
Take for instance the Mustang GT 500. There is a huge difference from it and the base V6 Mustang. It just looks like a fast car. To me this 2015 Hellcat looks like a V6 Challenger and will get lost in dealers parking lot. Sad.
I could be wrong, but I am guessing that they did the most they could do with the budget they had and sunk most, if not all, into the engine and tranny. Besides that, if they put a huge premium on it, wouldn't it be in the same price point as the new vette? Now if the choice came down to this and the new vette, I would go vette. Just like the styling better, but if the price is like 15k less, I'd go for this.
Wow this thing is awesome!! I wouldn't mind having one of those....but I would rather all of that cool tech (Hellcat engine, new performance screens, interior) find its way into a 2018 Jeep GC SRT. Even though it would probably be pushing $90k. I'd still buy it.
But way to go Chrysler! New Challenger Hellcat looks like a home run!
Netcar has written ... 485 for SRT version & 600 plus for hellcat. Gotta love the extent of the sepia leather treatment, why couldn't they have done this in the Jeep?

What's to say it would never be released in OZ?, of cause that is if it ever makes it to the Jeep to begin with. There is definitely a market for it and although price wise it will be more expensive then our current 14s it will still be cheaper then any of the high end performance Suvs offered by others. If it were offered today I'd be at the dealer trading in my 14 in a heart beat.......the wife has already been told
I wonder if the 8spd is the same as whats in the Jeep SRT... Can the supercharger be bolted to the 6.4 heads (states designed new heads for the hellcat)... wonder what else could be sourced over to the 6.4L...
I brought up to my Facebook group that if it came in a jeep I would buy it. The challenger guys were salivating until one of them realized that with 4-6 lbs of boost, the 6.4L will do this already. A 65k Challenger (what it's rumored to cost)? I think the 8 speed will be sweet in that car though. Either way I will not buy the next jeep with a hellcat if it is over 80k when I can have more horsepower for another 20k into my jeep.
